This is going to be another painful race, unless Kalaba can save the day.

Got to love bringing a breakaway squad and the PCM AI actually recognized that. A very fun first stage for us, just wish one of them could have hung on for a better stage result.

Holloway has been ridiculous this season, can’t believe he has won again.

Excellent sprint by Liepins, very glad about a second place on this stage. He seems to have a pretty good late season form after already delivering in Slovenia.
Now hoping for a good showing on the third stage, could be an important one for Lopez.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Nice of Kuboki to grab us a top 5 here. Hopefully Kinoshita can do well on the hill stages as well.

We got through that flat test, which was all that mattered from our perspective. Now we need a good and aggressive day from Kwiatkowski, where he and similar riders, like Beltran and MAL make use of their MO stat combined with their punch. |

Almost as good a stage as it gets there from Teklit. Only losing minimal time to the first group on the road and still holding that 2 minute GC lead.
It also appears Ulissi is now being sacrificed for him as well so hopefully that works out well!

Ah so close at the line, a line of six riders separated by a few millimetres. Top-5 is nice but so close.

Thank you for the report, UU! And congratulations on the win, Roman, eventhough we wanted it too
Kwiatkowski proving he's strong, which is great Had hoped for bigger gaps on that stage, as it on paper looked to be the Queen stage. Now this will probably be a nervous race all the way up to the final stage, which hopefully creates gaps again. Other than stage 8, I guess stage 5 could be an option PCM AI wise to make differences. |

I'm really interested to get information on where did they find so many climbs between Ljubljana in Zagreb. The only two climbs that are going into my mind are one around 20 km from Ljubljana and another one next to Novo mesto.

@Tinixia - I too have noticed that that relationship between mangame stages and the actual terrain is sometimes curious.
Having taken a bus from Ljubljana to Zagreb myself, I could see how there are climbs between the two cities, but perhaps as UU said, the MG created roads where there are none irl.
@valverde321 yeah there are climbs but not that much. When you go by bus you are going basically across one ''valley'' because on one and on another side are hills but if you are going to Zagreb on a normal old road you can find that there are a few climbs but still not that much like in profile of the first stage.
You can see below in maps that I did it right now that only the first one is the hilliest but the other three are not that and even the last like 10 km at least should be flat as a pancake before they arrive to finish in Zagreb.
@Ulrich Ulriksen I agree yes.

It's a good result for Oomen, but also probably the stage that suited him most so I'm counting on some time losses the next days. White will also be hard with Padun here.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Strong ride by all Evonik guys, Lopez looked good and four doms inside the top 32 is massive but we could have benefitted more from the stage. However, third on the day and dropping some of the strong contenders (De Bie, Van Garderen, Mohoric, day 1 breakees) before the day is okay.

Even though it's not a pure hill race, De Bie still is underperforming here. Not the best first couple stages for the team. Can only and must becomes better |

Good work from Yates, less good from Guerreiro who continues to prove to be one of my worst ever signings...
The spring being a mess was unsurprising, but I suspect foul play from Vesuvio there. Even if it would have made no real difference to the outcome |

Pretty good GC fight by Koretzky and Boily, but we’re still pointless after 3 stages.

Formolo was positioned well all the time and looked strong. Seems like he got blocked a bit in the sprint, which is a shame. But still a good stage for his GC.

I guess it will be a low scoring race. Not exactly what I was hoping for/expecting.
