In a way this feels like two missed opportunities for victories which were within our grasp, but nonetheless still valuable contributions. Ciolek especially with one of the less embarassing sprints of the season.
Congrats to GCN and BNZ for the respective victories there. Commiserations to those caught in that random split. That was weird.
Fingers crossed for sympathetic time trial tomorrow.

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We survived the stage, that's all that matters.

Stagiare Louis Visser doing his best to earn a full-time contract for next season. Nice ride from the newbie and by Carlos Verona to show Visser the ropes in the breakaway.

I'm a bit disappointed with Barbin's performance in 1st stage as he didn't finish closer to the top 15 at least.
About today's stage, I have a bit of mixed feelings. The team did a really good job but I'm a bit disappointed in Salleh as I hoped that he would finish closer to the top 3 but in the end, our tran did an amazing job and Barbin & Korošec finished in 9th and 10th place next to Salleh's 6th place.
Thanks for the report Nemo and congrats on the win in the first stage hoyle and second Jakstar.

Moscon finished up front, that's the most important thing. And with the gap, we have basically secured at least a few GC points, if he doesn't mess things up completely.
On the other side, our only other rider arriving in the front group yesterday, Lienhard, inexplicably lost a lot of time today. So unless he does a breakaway miracle on the closing stages, Moscon will probably score the team's only points in this race - let's hope it'll be more than just a handful! But for that, he needs to limit the damage tomorrow - fingers crossed!
Congrats for the win to fellow CT manager Jakstar, and thanks for the report!

Quiet day for GC riders - at least for most of them. Tbh, I´m not surprised Betancourt has lost time in such kind of stage, it´s not for the first time. Great win for CT team, congrats to Jackstar!
Now onto TT, Paillot will claim yellow jersey here, that´s for sure.

Just a heads up that stages 4/5 will come online in the evening (western Europe) during the weekend

Mottin in 4th is good, hopefully he can keep the form he's suddenly found for one more race
Nepomnyachsniy on the other hand should've done better here, I doubt he can remain in the top 10 with a host of puncheurs closely behind him.

Pretty poor ride from Paillot there, but at least he managed to take the GC lead. Not filled with confidence he'll hang onto it, but it's at least the position we hoped to be in going into Stage 4.
Bizarre to see Turgis and Bettiol getting dropped on the flat, and with Paillot in the lead I can't see them attacking to make that time back. Without that split we'd have 6 riders in the top 30, so hopefully they can move up the GC even if it is just by acting as support for Paillot. |

Faiers moves up to 10th in the GC with a decent ride here, starting to look quite nice.

18th by Moscon is decent after the TT, but the time gap is definitely disappointingly large. He'll need a huge ride tomorrow if he wants to get close the the Top 10 - but it's definitely possible if the race is hard enough.
Congrats to Repsol for yet another TT win!

Looks promising, but we need hard stage tomorrow to cook up Paillot (and Bazhkou). Some contenders are still relatively close in GC, too. Nothing has done yet!

Really awful riding from us to only get a single third place out of those first two days when Houle is such a favourite.
Today though, better! Love it from Stan, not counting my chickens but would be one of my favourite races of the year if Bazhkou is really Back-ou. Been such a shitty time for him since the change to PCM18 (and, admittedly, the introduction of Houle to the team).
Enjoying our now-usual depth in these HI/TT races. Hope we can improve the positions of the three lower down and Bazhkou and Stannard can limit their losses to stay near where they are. The latter is really cool to see doing ok at the moment and third in the U25, hope he stays in the top 5 there to get the points at race's end. And if we can overtake GCN in the teams then that would be sweet too.

Wow, another amazing result by Moscon - that guy seems to be ready for PCT racing already! If only he could TT a bit better... But well, if he can hold onto that 7th place tomorrow, I surely won't be complaining!
Saggiorato staying in the pack and moving up to 27th is nice, too, although it would have been absolutely possible for him to finish in the peloton on day 1...
Congrats to Campari for that stage win, and looking forward to a thrilling GC finale tomorrow!
