Promising stuff from Bennett. I signed King to be a lead-out man for the season so better late than never. Hope he can improve a few more metres and grab a stage or two

Haller is back to his winning ways, just
Great that Kraftwerk managed a leadout train which did just enough. Denz is likely to get very tired at this rate.
Haller might get into yellow tomorrow, more pressure on the team, hope we can cope.

Glad not to have to fret the sprints for once. Alert work by Eisenhart to grab a day in the KOM jersey.
A nice sprint as well with the train helping. Congrats to Haller and Kraftwerk.

We had strong top-5 ambitions on both stage 1 and 2, so this is not the start we'd wished for.
However, very happy with the sprint train in stage 2
Congrats Haller with a great win, and thank you for the reports roturn! |

Slight scare from Fraile there but we survived and got a good sprint from Young (can't say that very often). Plus, Abal moved up to 3rd in GC. Good day.

Good news is Kraftwerk had the strength to catch the break, bad news is Kiserlovski ends up in our "lead out train" or rather not in it
In fact Kraftwerk's push caused some splits, hilly stage 5 could be interesting.
Haller will struggle to win the points jersey like this. Tomorrows stage is a bit more straightforward, expecting a better leadout.
Congrats to Azteca and thanks for the report roturn.

Great to see the McCormick boys attack the early KOMs and get lots of camera time. Kuss never in trouble. Very solid start.
Sympathy to Glanbia on dominating the leadout but not being able to take the win.
Thanks for the report.

Hey man just happy to see Bennett getting closer and to be the proud owner of a train even if the engine was my climbing domestique this time

Quiet stage for Europcar this, but as long as Atapuma keeps up with the peloton, we're okay I guess |

Stage 4 and the Glanbia train arrives in Disappointmentville.
Solid performances from Bennett and King, I may need to revisit next year's overhaul

Stage 4 perfectly executed by Kraftwerk. Denz on the chase, Bol and Park as the leadouts, Haller only in the wind with 500m to go and finished it off nicely to lead both GC and points.
Defending the jersey on the hilly day will be interesting, Haller will not be able to hold on but Nerz is only the 3rd rider for Kraftwerk and better puncheur Denz is less than a minute down.
Will be interesting to see how the team manage this.
Stage 6 looks like a breakaway stage, might be good not to keep the GC lead to save the team some work.
Thanks for the report roturn.

McMulty gets to be the third different McCormick rider in the KOM jersey, only 5 team members to go.
Congrats to Haller on a well managed win.

If I had known there would only be thirteen teams I would have probably signed up for the ToA as well. Seems like a fun race, with Haller dominating so far and even taking yellow. Congratulations to Kraftwerk Good to see Glanbia doing decent as well, while it's fun to see McCormick's 'get all riders in the KoM-jersey-strategy' is working as planned so far

Great 1-2 for Valio on stage 5.
Great to see the break got caught before the intermediate sprint giving Haller a chance for a few extra points. Brave effort from him to keep the jersey.
Stage worked out great for Kraftwerk. Nerz within 6 seconds of the lead so the team don't have to defend tomorrow.
Quite a lumpy flat stage, not sure if Haller can stay in the front group or the team will have the firepower to case down a break. Lets see how it develops.
Thanks for the reports roturn.

I can live with a 24 second loss on that stage, not Kuss' terrain. Hanging on to the KOM jersey but some other teams seems to be under the impression that they are allowed to contest that competition.

Garby still there. He can really achieve a high GC finish here. Excited for when we hit the mountains!

Koren advancing to a top-10 is cool, however, he won't stay there for long.
Hopefully Atapuma can be on his best form when we reach the biggest mountain tops. Just decent today.
Thank you for the reports roturn! |

It took the whole Kraftwerk team except Nerz to chase the Stage 6 break down and we only just managed it. Park with a great leadout and Haller finished it off with time to spare.
Mountains tomorrow and then another lumpy flat stage to test the teams capacity to chase the break.
Perfect start for Kraftwerk but the team has done a lot of work already, will we pay for it in week 3?
Thanks for another great report roturn.

Unusual in PCM18 to see one team control the sprints as successfully as Kraftwerk has done, so congrats to them. At this point you can't blame other teams for not helping with the chase too much.
More good stuff from McNulty, the worrier in me would say that rolling home in the peloton and saving yourself for another raid later might be better than contesting a sprint.

It’s nice to see that Von Hoff can still challenge for stages this season here even after his decline. He’s done very well so far this tour as has Garby keeping out of trouble. Good overall stage for the team! Great podium from Steele
Congrats to the winner and thanks for the return!
