Next stop Tour of Langkawi
Disco for Langkawi..(I thought it long a desided to go with light team). Organisizers send me also mail: They wanted to pay to get Hincapie riding on Langkawi and I sayd now. Hincapie should have enough fun in the end of February to train he's goble skills.
Anyway here is our team:
If you wanna find some leadre on this pack, then I can give you van Goolen and Uros Murn for sprint.
First stage (sprint)
Meersman sets himself in breakaway group. He is already in decent form and takes 2 time third places in sprints, and go's on front to set fast pace.
All peloton comes together for the mass sprint. Murn places himself nice in Tinkoff train.
New Zealand champ Dean is very strong ,nice win. Murn don't have enough strenght to stay with Trusov

I know cycling is about winning. But I am patient person
Lets try again.
Tour of Langkawi -stage 2 (sprinters paradise continues)
There was lots of breakaways, but not one of then hasn't dangerous enough. Murn chooses this time to follow Takashi Miyazawa -this works better but not much. Anyway Samuel Dumoulin getting beautiful revenge and also takes leader jersey from Dean (who starts sprinting to far at the front)

Langkawi continous - Stage 3 (we have a season first climbing)
Now we really gonna see : with how light team we got so far at home.
When peloton arrives to the first mountain Unibet team moves in front and starts bull hard. Intresting what are they planning. Still our team specialy leader van Goolen has no problem to follow.
Dean has losted his chance to win the tour long ago. Now seems that tour leader Samuel Dumoulin (AG2R) also can't follow. Disco team has gone only van Goolen is left.
Last km. of the last climb and young Kasahh-gun Viatcheslav Dyadichkin (POLYGON SWEET NICE TEAM) fires dynamic attack only Sid Taberlay from DISCOVERY CHANNEL MARCO POLO team can follow (shame ah?) My top dog van Goolen see's that this is enough and barely can catch peloton in the decent.
Viatcheslav Dyadichkin takes a win and tour leader jersey...wow

I don't use manual training at first few months...just before some important races I push someone to train harder. Now they are around 50-60. In Langkawi i was chosen riders who had in top with fitness. |

Next day and next race.
Tour of Langkawi stage 5 (sprint)
Flat stage again, bad weather. I though this is can be chance, need to place flat "diesel" Meersman in breakaway group.
After start straightly started lots if riders to attack but peloton catched them all (thanks to Gredit Agricole team) finaly 11 men got clear and started work nicely together. My plan is still looking good Meersman is one of them.
Cap between breakaway and peloton is over 7 min. this might work. 11 escsapes still working nicely together Agricole and NIPPO CORPORATION - MEITAN HOMPO CO team doing hard work to catch them.
3km. before finish Paul Martens and Jussi Veikkanen trying to get clear at rest of the group. Meersman desided to stay with main sprint power.
Sprint is on Meersman follows Tiziano Dall'Antonia and catches Martens just in the line. 2.nd. place my best result so far.
1 Tiziano Dall'Antonia CERAMICA PANARIA - NAVIGARE 3h39'08
2 Gianni Meersman DISCOVERY CHANNEL PRO CYCLING TEAM s.t.

5 Jussi Veikkanen FRANÇAISE DES JEUX s.t.

Yes, stories are hard work, and its odd to get stories lasting as long as my Allan Smile one...which reminds me, I know this goes against all morals, but I'm going to advertise my new story - it starts tonight

Tour of Langkawi stage 6 (Now I know why Li is in Discovery)
Flat..flat. I think hey this is a short stage no reason to push myself in breakaway. Good that I changed my mind and "sacrefised" Li..
Big breakaway group (13 riders).POLYGON SWEET team hasn't enough power to do anything with over 9.min. cap. And also biggest surprise for me was that 20 km. before finish I notice that Li is tour virtual leader (guy with best time in breakaway group).
Lets sprint..Li is going strong and waiting moment to go 100%.
No.. from back coming also strong Mickaël Delage and Herman Fouche.
3. place..i am pleased.
