[CT] Trans cycling team / After season
TinxiaS
hahaha, thanks. Maybe you never know if the organizer because of virus decide to change course and country Wink Grin

This is what I really hope for Barbin if it will be too hard for Korosec and Modolo but I hope it will be still manageable for those two. Wink

I can't wait to see the start of the season and see how Salleh is doing and if he can be a ''pain in the ...'' to other teams between in sprinting races Wink

I like how you have multiple riders for each of the goal races that could play a role based on different race outcomes. So chances are that if you dont get the goals, you should get at least close to them which is also accounted for Wink

Looking forward to see your Barbin and Harrif in action for the first time. Both of them seem surrounded by some quality support. Good luck!

I mean if you don't count some young riders (only one season in our team) and young talents, there is some quality support for both leaders. I just hope on a small miracle that a nice result will come. Wink

GP YEKATERINBURG

i.imgur.com/AlhR85q.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C2HC/Yekaterinburg/11.jpg

The first race in the first season for Trans Cycling Team finally started in Russia at GP Yekaterinburg.

We had a mix of young and experienced riders for the first race of the season. Our leader was Enrico Barbin and the second one Rok Korošec .

The target for Enrico Barbin was in the Top 10 but in the first race, he finished in a disappointing second group with a +1'19'' gap between the winner of the race.
He finished ob last please in the second group and overall in 49th place.

Our best rider was Luka Pibernik who finished in the first group on 31st place in a winners time.

Enrico was after the race disappointed and is without comment on a race and he wrapped himself in silence. We are still supporting him and hope that this was only a bit of bad day luck.

From the disappointing to bright good news with our young riders!

We are happy that our young talent James Knox finished overall on 51st place with only +1'44'' behind the winner.
Jaka Primožič finished a bit lover on an overall standing with a couple of min bigger gap.

Congrats to the winner of GP Yekaterinburg Wilco Kelderman from Philips!

Maybe the race was just slightly too difficult for Barbin, still dissapointing though Frown

Can only improve from here on Smile

Another new manager without any points I see. If it is a consolidation: almost your whole team finished ahead of my best rider

Also, Primozic looks like a really cool rider to have, I'm sure there is a certain Slovenian manager with a Balkan team that's jealous of you signing him Pfft

@Redordead I thought on this and maybe it can be but I'm not sure. We will see in future races if this was bad luck only or if it was too difficult for him.

@Nemolito I've seen yes that your riders had bad luck too. I really hope that we will be much closer to the podium in the next few races or at least in the Top 10 Grin

I can imagine that all three Slovenian teams would love to have him but as I can see they both have a really strong team and I mean at least for Swisslion I can say that they will have a really strong team in the future with Tadej pogačar who is in a loan right now in my team.

After an unlucky start in the first race of the season GP Yekaterinburg in Russia, we hope that we will get our first points on a flat race the Great Ocean Road Classic in Australia.

Our expectations are high and we can't hide it but we know that our leader Salleh and national champion of Malaysia can have problems with short punchy climbs and because of this or the second leader is Luka Mezgec.

We hope that this won't be too hard a test for Salleh.

This will be the first warm-up race for Abraha who will be an important rider in this season on cobbled races which will be our next race.

GREAT OCEAN ROAD CLASSIC

i.imgur.com/lRKNZlz.jpeg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/Reports/C2HC/GORC/PCM0023.jpg

3rd place for Salleh and first points for the Trans Cycling Team!!!

We had really high expectations for this race because of Salleh and we hoped that the one climb won't be too hard for him this why we had Luka Mezgec as a second leader and a lead-out for a Salleh in case It would come to the bunch sprint at the end of the race!

Great Ocean Road Classic was the second race for our team to end the first real test for our sprinter leader Salleh.

At the start of the race and in a front of the peloton riders starting to attack which soon became a group of six riders with 2'30'' gap to the Peloton 105km to go.

In a peloton Trans, BNZ, Bralirwa, Nordica, and Guave's Sunlight started to dictating the pace and after the main climb of the day leader group had only 50'' sec gap to the peloton.

Slovenian Gašper Katrašnik attacked in the last two km from the peloton and got a bit of a gap and in a peloton, Luka Mezgec launched the lead out for Salleh. One km to the finished Katrašnik was still in a lead and Mezgec ''burned'' himself with a previous effort to catching Katrašnik and he couldn't help Salleh in the last few meters of the race.

With a big gap to the peloton, Gašper Katrašnik started to celebrate early and won a
Great Ocean Road Classic race. Behind it was still too early to set the last sprint for the second and third place.

In the last few meters, Selig launched the strongest attack which brought him in second place, and our sprint leader Salleh finished the race just after him in third place!
