I have studied Mechanical Engineering for two years now and got three years to go. Soon I will have to choose which Master to go at, and I haven't yet decided. Maybe Product Development.
It's hard to know what you really wanna work with..

I did German
I hate German, it's such a stupid language, everything you say sounds aggresive, there is no way of having a nice friendly chat sounding like a nice friendly chat
(Not that I talk German outside the German class, just an example)
We were only given the choice of doing French or German I, along with most people, wanted to do Spanish. Although I did learn a couple of years ago when I went out there for 2 months, but I've lost most of it now...

I've read 3 years spanish, 1 year german and now hopefully I will have 1 year french.
But really, english is the only thing I care about, just that my program demands 200 extra points of a 3rd language |

I did French till my second high school year (and use it all day long, duh), then English from the elementary school (when you're 11 years old) till the end of university.
Also studied German from my third year of elementary school till the end of high school. That gave me 1 point for my A-level (I needed 360 to graduate, yippee). My German is a real disaster now, I almost never used it in 7 years. |

On the 22nd of August I will defend my masters thesis in communication studies (wish me luck). I have a BA in interactive digital media, but chose to study mediated comminication as the InDiMedia thing was too game oriented.
So now I am wondering what to use this very varied and broad education for. I am leaning towards working in advertising, while improving my screenwriting skills. |

I did the usual higher education after 10 rubbish GCSE's (8 A's 2 B's). AS levels were Psychology, Biology, Physical Education and Philosophy and Ethics. I dropped Psychology going into A levels (had a C for AS level). Managed to get ABC in PE, Philo and Bio respectively. And with that achieved just enough (phew!) to get into University down in Exeter to read Sports and Exercise Science. I have some kind of plan of getting into physiology side of things - more than just coaching kids, but coaching pro's in whatever sport. But i'm also very much interested in psychology again. So I'm not sure where i'm going to be heading. As to my dream job... chance of getting it - 5%... so i don't think ill be getting there.
EDIT: I'm also surprised at how young Addy, SN and Smoothie are!

As a philosopher may have once said "Age is but a number. Experience defines you and experience can come at any point in your life, be you 20 or 70."
He might not have said that but I think I improvised pretty well I was suprised at how "young" we were as well when reading through here...

Note the title of the topic - Philosophy AND Ethics. Both exams were easy due to the fact we knew the questions previously. So i could avoid any philosophy stuff. I mainly did Ethical stuff.

Many more people have no idea than those who do. It's insane the way society is structured, but that's the way it is.
