Glad for having helped out developing three of your talents last year
Maybe some deal could again be made to help signing one of your riders

A shame for Ackermann that we switched to PCM18. He would've been a great rider, now I fear he'll need loads of training to become a good PCT leader/PT scorer.
On the other hand you've got an amazing core of Greek riders, I envy you there quite a lot!

I agree... Either he will need massive training, or accept that he won't be a top point scorer but instead plan him a little bit differently from what his main rivals would probably do. I think he realistically can score around 300-350 points pr. season.
Riders like Reimer and Oss scored 200+ points and both were mainly helpers.

Why would he need a lot of training? In my unexperienced CT-manager-eyes, he looks great... Sprint stat too low? Or Mo stat?
Not that I'm interested in him, just for my understanding

The mountainstat was too low for him to work properly in last season - But I don't think it's that much of a problem with the admins changing the profiles tbh... I think he'll work fine - but otherwise getting him closer to 70MO would definately do the trick I'd say...
It would cost 625K this season to make him 67MO and then 1mio next season to get him to 69MO...
But if you are also considering training him in HI or SPR his OVL will climb up so it will also be cheap to get him higher in the MO...
My plan was to do something like this
2020:
+1 HI 850K
+1 MO 125K
New OVL: 76,17
2021:
+1 HI 1mio
+1MO 150K
At this point it will be expensive to train him no matter what

OK, thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I though it was something about Mo stat, but compared to some guys I have he already is a great climber
Wish you more luck with him next season given the more puncheur suited profiles

This is actually wrong. Oss had a lot of race days with a free role, most of them were even days were you would point at him if you were forced to pick a leader in our team. Safe to say he wasn’t capable of taking the chances, not really at all. Had it been PCM15, I’m sure he would have done slightly better with all the chances he got last year, but PT is difficult |

@ember
Yeah OK, I don't know the exact planning, but I would be looking at races such as Milano-San Remo, Rund um Köln etc... Wasn't he often part of the Swift-train?
Also this season races like Ronde van Nederland suit him much better than last season so I believe it should be possible to score more points if planning around him, rather than using him as domestique

This off-seasons biggest transfertarget just landed at the HQ awaiting presentation.
| Georgos Stavrakakis | 1.00 | 22yo | Cobbled GC | €75.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 69 | 61 | 67 | 68 | 67 | 65 | 63 | 69 | 64 | 67 | 69 | 61 | 70 | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 76 | 61 | 70 | 75 | 75 | 72 | 66 | 78 | 64 | 68 | 70 | 62 | 77 |
Georgios Stavrakakis is a huge talent in respect of Greek cycling. Easily the biggest cobbled talent in the history of Greek cycling - with all due respect for Kortsidakis and Karatzios. The latter starting his decrease on the season for Stavrakakis' first season of prime.
To have such versatile talent really adds to the quality level of Greek cycling, and we expect him to develop further from there on aswell.

More riders have been landed during the night and early morning times. We are very happy to have secured yet a couple of our top 10 pre-season targets.
| Alexandros Agrotis | 1.00 | 22yo | Stage Racer | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 69 | 66 | 66 | 67 | 69 | 67 | 68 | 63 | 65 | 67 | 70 | 69 | 68 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 72 | 75 | 73 | 74 | 76 | 72 | 75 | 63 | 65 | 68 | 71 | 70 | 75 |
Alexandros Agrotis joins the team as another talented GC prospect. He will be our first cypriot signing of the season to join the greek legion. Agrotis is a well rounded prospect that we expect a lot from in the future.
| Andreas Miltiadis | 3.36 | 24yo | Puncheur | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 67 | 71 | 71 | 67 | 69 | 69 | 63 | 68 | 61 | 71 | 63 | 67 | 67 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 68 | 74 | 76 | 68 | 71 | 71 | 65 | 68 | 62 | 75 | 67 | 68 | 68 |
The other cypriot to sign for Festina - OAKA this season is Miltiadis, who is a talented puncheur. He is a good mixture of Kastrantas and van Niekerk and will join a fairly talented department of the team. Miltiadis is just 24 years old so have many years ahead of him.
| Victor Lafay | 2.00 | 24yo | Puncheur | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 65 | 70 | 70 | 62 | 70 | 69 | 69 | 62 | 62 | 68 | 72 | 66 | 60 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 66 | 75 | 77 | 63 | 72 | 72 | 72 | 62 | 63 | 74 | 78 | 67 | 61 |
Ever since we signed Clement Koretzky and Laurent Pichon we have been on search for a good talented french puncheur, but have not broken free of the chains of the ever insecure free agents battle. It came as a big surprise to land Lafay at a simple 50K bargain, and we expect him to move to big things!
| Remy Rochas | 3.00 | 24yo | Climber | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 66 | 73 | 70 | 61 | 69 | 68 | 70 | 60 | 61 | 69 | 68 | 65 | 62 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | 67 | 77 | 74 | 61 | 70 | 70 | 73 | 60 | 61 | 73 | 72 | 66 | 62 |
The final piece of the early puzzle is Remy Rochas, who is another french rider - fairly talented, and with some good climbing abilities. We have also been searching for french talents like him for some time, even trying to pursue already maxed riders of his like from other teams, without hitting the lucky moment. We expect Rochas to take part of the mountain setup for many years to come!

Lafay and especially Rochas wouldn't have been uncontested pickups if I had been able to spend all of my free cap space already!
Congrats on some really solid additions to your core which means you should be in the comfortable position to focus on finding a few select high-value pieces to round the squad out in the near future.

Definitely some good bargains there, they also didn't quite make it into my plans, but weren't far away from being there!

Thanks guys
I'm happy you allowed me some leeway to build fairly cheap hehe... I really wanted to make the core valid this time instead of filling with all sort of random names.
Now I feel like I can start out next season with a base that is 100% French, Greek and Cypriot without the need for a leader or domestique with another nationality. This season obviously need to be a little bit of a turnover were we still have a few other nationalities...
But next year!

It has been a very hectic transferwindow for Festina - OAKA, as the manager in charge had a very specific plan for the possible gains. This means, that while the manager have been off dealing with riders, other managers and sponsors - money have been spent on high altitude training for the team captain, Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier...
And while the progress stagnated at one point, his overall gain seems somewhat interesting. We are very happy to introduce Lecuisinier in a new, and enhanced edition!
| Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier | 4.100 | 27yo | Stage racer | €750.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 71 | 83 | 75 | 77 | 78 | 80 | 79 | 65 | 67 | 74 | 65 | 70 | 77 | | ↓↓↓ | | 71 | 85 | 75 | 77 | 78 | 80 | 79 | 65 | 67 | 74 | 65 | 70 | 77 |
Besides enhanching our team captain, we have also been out seeking new riders, but while we say "hello" to some, we had to say "goodbye" to others aswell.
Maxime Daniel
Adrien Petit
Alexis Vuillermoz
Pascal Ackermann
Andreas Stauff
Sascha Weber
We have been very happy with the efforts of everyone on the above list, but we decided that they would be better of riding elsewhere, despite some of them actually having leader potential at our own setup. We are very happy to welcome a new "big" pool of riders instead however!
David Boily
Giacomo Nizzolo
Riccardo Zoidl
Hector Carretero Millan (Loan out)
Juan Osorio
Georgios Bouglas
Georgios Stavrakakis (Loan out)
Andreas Miltiadis
Emmanuel Morin
Remy Rochas (Loan out)
Victor Lafay (Loan out)
Alexandre Delettre (Stagiare)
Simon Gugliemi (Stagiare)
We will present our riders more thoroughly in a later presentation.
Feel free to comment!

Lecuisinier looks ridiculous, but all that pales in comparison that you kept Koretzky and Zoidl on your team against their will, what a dark shadow to cast on yourself
