Massive win for Lierse, but it must be really frustrating to be a manager for one of the favourites right now.

Amazing podium, KOM and sprint jersey Calmejane, this was the exact reason we signed you and what a time to deliver. Can you hold on to the GC-podium? |

Fish fork in the post Congrats Ollfadh
Can’t understand why the break stayed away, good for us as Kraftwerk had two riders in the break. With the strong field we need as much action in the break as we can get.
Denz in young riders jersey a surprise bonus, wonder how long he can hang on to it?
Thanks for the great report Ulrich.

The PCT did very well there. Congrats to Ollfardh!
We finished in the peloton anonymously. Nothing gained and nothing lost in that stage.

Like in Portugal, Bobridge only "survives" the stages, when a break takes the stage.. Annoying!
Phelan already active, but unfortunately with no result except of some mountain points.

I still can't believe it, his first win in 4 years with the team. I'll probably take the recoil tomorrow when he gets dropped and Oomen goes back to help him though.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I didn't expect such a strong break to be allowed on the first stage, but got incredibly lucky that Schreurs was there. As maybe the strongest rider on paper in that group, I feel like there was potential for more than 8 KoM points and a third place, though. Nevertheless, very handy to have a 2 minute advantage on the biggest favorites going into stage three, with all the climbing that's awaiting there.
Nice to see Waeytens finally performing for Lierse. Congrats, Ollfardh!

Just like Portugal, random-ass results. Hopefully just on this one stage and not for the rest to save multiple managers heart attacks. The top puncheurs in Portugal were lucky to get a stage podium each, surely the same won’t happen here

Mad. That's what you get from making Kump Chase for no reason on day 1.

Strong finish from Kreder, but he needs to position himself better. Good to see that he has the speed to compete ahead of the 4th stage, however, which looks like a stage that could suit him.

Lutsyshyn, pancake sprinter who can actually win stuff it seems This win could well make an end to Ulanowski's period at the team, he would never finish up this high, averaging something like 95th in most flat stages...

Kraftwerk benefiting from the poor AI creating a chaotic sprint and a late run from Willwohl to grab a surprise 2nd place.
Thanks for the report Ulrich and congrats to fjhoekie.

Good finish from Pelucchi, this could be a very big race for us.

Im happy for every little point at this part of the season, seeing that we cant do much in the remaining hilly classics. Will be tough ... |

Avelino is doing what I believe his manager characterized as “sprinting backwards”
That's some omiscient repoting
Avelino is, by now, sort of a specialist in that technique I reckon.
And to see Borges wasting his energies on this....
Anyway congratulations on the win fj! I miss the hills already.

Stage 1 was a shocker! Not sure how these kinds of results happen so often. Kelderman doing well in general doesn't help.
Te Brake did as one would expect him to on Stage 2, so can't really complain about that.

Oomen working for Waeytens really isn't worth keeping the jersey for another day
Great pacing with the reports all over the place though, another major thanks to all reporters!

I'm just here so that I don't get fined.
Very happy for bikex though, nice win for Lutsenko can Zico go all the way?
