@ Guido Mukk
As it is the films leave out absolutely huge amounts of the book, and trying to cram all seven into 3 films - they would be worse than they already are. Plus, I see your point that it is all commercially driven, I don't think their should have been any films - they're rubbish, the books are great. But would you say no to the millions offered to Rowling?

@Nature Sorry - Harry Potter tracks his life for his seven years at school in seven books - his enemy is and always has been Voldemort, and he isn't fat. Read the books, there great pieces of literature, which is why JK Rowling is one of the richest women in the world.
Sorry to rant, but I like literature with a passion, and especially don't like people who follow misinformed stereotypes
It was IRONIC! I've read most of the Harry Potter books myself (Right now I'm reading number 5), and I'm a great fan myself! So stop ranting! |

Sorry Nature, but I can't resist a good rant. I'll now join Smoothie in the special corner and cover my head in shame

Yes you right...If we take Lord of the rings..the movies are well done.. But still books are much better..if you really want to get into Tolkien fantasy world you should read a book.. But now is already late for that..you have seen movies and you have faces and places already exist in your head. But still read it. |

no doubt there are. I just haven't seen any trailers or anything, and I loved that one
after the first few minutes, the movie tails off in terms of quality, but it's still an enjoyable watch |
