Noah: fighter surely seems like a tempting proposal, but if it is just up to me I would prefer to go for the Northern Classics. I sense that would be great training for me at least for the time being.
Christian Andersen: “It is up to you, we don’t want to direct a young rider into something he do not want, and did I mention our partner “B&W Bike Cases & Bags” have set up a bonus for the marts month races, 50€ for any day holding the KoM or Points jersey, and 150€ for a stage win. Now start you training you got two months to get fit, you look like an overfed Christmas Turkey”, Andersen smiles and walk away.
Noah does not answer, thinking “overfed” I’m 59 kg and have been riding 100’s of km over Christmas.
It was that day today: Friday the 6th of marts, the day Noah would take part in his very first UCI race. He was feeling his body his stomach all the time, while warming up. It was not that he felt bad, he felt great, but he was very nervous. He wanted more than anything to get in that breakaway.
Tour of Rhodes Stage 1. 156.3 km
After one failed attempt, he did get in the breakaway with two other riders, Yauhen Sobal and Franklin Chacón Colmenares. Came 2nd in the cat. 2, but he completely missed the attack for the 2nd koM and lost contact with the other, soon after he was called back to help with the sprint.
The cat. 2
A very technical finish, the setup was Sebastian Kolze Changizi - Noah Takaima - Nicolai Brøchner, but in the chaos Noah lost Sebastians wheel and also started this sprit to late, as a consolation Sebastian came 3rd as his finish was perfectly timed. Nicolai came 13th and Noah 15th.
It was supposed to have been Nicolai and a win, Noah was tired, sad and frustrated.
Nicolai Brøchner came over smiling: “Don’t look like that boy, it was your first race and you did fine, we can’t win them all.”
Noah just nodded
Nicolai: But promise me something, tomorrow stay back, you are really fast you know, we can win that stage and maybe even the race if we work together.
Noah smiled back: I will…and yes, I think we could.
Quite surprisingly the morning breakaway was caught at the bottom of the early cat. 2 climb, allowing Noah an attack to come 2nd and take the KoM lead without making too much effort. He immediately fell back again to help with the sprint.
The cat. 2
It was a quite simple straight finish, setup like yesterday and Team ColoQuick totally dominated with Nicolai, Noah and Sebastian as one-two-three.
Nicolai, Noah and Sebastian fell over each other in giant hugs, this was a feeling Noah would not forget for a long time, he did not win but that did not matter, all he was thinking was “we won” he did not even think about the KoM lead that was a minor thing now.

This was seeming too easy difficult level upped to Extreme
As we are adjusting a bit anyway, decided to change race scoring to get in line with continental circuit points scoring.
The system:
Any participating team mate gets 4% of the race income.
The rest of the income will be shared proportional to the continental points scored in the race by the riders. (I don’t know if there are income from races with no points, if so will be shared equally)
The third day would turn out to become a very different story than day two, but it started out perfectly for Noah, as the breakaway riders had no KoM points, basically securing his KoM win.
Later a sudden acceleration in the pack took most of the team by surprise, leaving only Noah and Alexander Salby as the only ColoQuick riders in the group of 34 riders that would reach the final 10 km first. With a gap of almost a minute the large group could not get back. On top of all this Noah clearly felt the previous stages in his legs, not a great day for him.
As Noah was best placed of the two, they decided to ride for him, but without Nicolai Brøchner not to too much use, Noah best as 13th.
The stage won by Maximilian Beyer (Rad - Net Rose Team)
The race won by Andrea Guardini (Giotti Victoria – Palomar)
Overall things looked better for the team, Nicolai Brøchner 2nd in GC, Noah and Sebastian 4th and 5th. Noah also took the KoM and U25, all in all a fantastic first race for him, followed by a real nice evening at the hotel.
International Tour of Rhodes total price money € 6.510
Just a three days’ rest and then on to the next race Istarsko Proljeće in Croatia. The first stage was just a short prologue but quite undulated.
None from the team had a perfect skillset for this as Price-Pejtersen was not attending, but Aksel Skot-Hansen had very good legs coming in with a fine 17th at 14”. Noah lost 27”.
Martin Toft Madsen (BHS - PL Beton Bornholm) won the stage in 6’22”
Istarsko Proljeće stage 2
Noah does not feel all that well, after a morning check at the doctor but he has decided to race. As his conditions is quite poorly, he is assigned to domestic duties today. William Blume Levy got into the morning breakaway and took the KoM but with KoM points at the finish the 5 points would not matter much.
Noah was not part of the finish, Nicolai Brøchner best from the team as 7th, there was no gabs between the first more than 100 riders.
Noah protecting Nicolai Brøchner
Karol Domagalski (Mazowsze Serce Polski) won the stage
Istarsko Proljeće stage 3
Noah was still not feeling well when he woke up this morning, he consults the doctor and decides not to race, in the hope that he can regain some strength before the next race.
The team does what it can to get something from the race, Nicolai Brøchner boldly with a late attacks in the attempt to join the break before the KoM and Aksel Skot-Hansen with a late attack for the stage win, but nothing is fruitful.
Istarsko Proljeće stage 4
The team does not do anything most of the day, it is all about the sprint, Nicolai Brøchner is amongst the favorites. The setup is perfect but a last sharp corner mess thing up and Nicolai is blocked behind his own teammates, never the less a fine result with Alexander Salby 2nd, Sebastian Kolze Changizi 3rd and Nicolai Brøchner 4th. Rok Korošec (Ljubljana - Gusto – Santic) win the stage
Overall winner of the race was Pawel Bernas (Mazowsze Serce Polski) best from Team ColoQuick Aksel Skot-Hansen 16th.
Istarsko Proljeće - Istrian Spring Trophy total price money € 1.470
Just two days rest and Noah were back on the bike, not super fit but able to race again. As he was probably still recovering, he was assigned domestic duties at least for now.
William Blume Levy was in the breakaway and harvested two KoM points, Noah had a rough day and did not take part in the finish, he lost more than a minute on the stage.
Nicolai Brøchner did fine, 5th today. Daniel Silva (Radio Popular – Boavista) won the stage
Volta ao Alentejo stage 2
Noah continues as domestic rider, still not having the right legs to try something. His role today will be positioning Nicolai and Changizi into the final sprint.
Jeppe Aaskov has great legs and he was allowed to join the breakaway, finishing overall 2nd in KoM
It comes to a mass sprint Nicolai Brøchner considered a top favorite, great teamwork Brøchner wins the stage, Noad played his part to perfection.
Noah leading the sprinters into position
Volta ao Alentejo stage 3
Noah was supposed to act as domestic again, but it is a hard fight to create the morning breakaway and as Jeppe Askov fails two get into the first two attempts, Noah join the third. That was also reeled in and Jeppe Aaskov was able to join the next breakaway and comes 2nd on the climb, now virtual KoM leader. Noah back to domestic duties.
Again it comes to a mass sprint, again Noah leads the two sprinter into position and Team ColoQuick make it one/two with Nicolai Brøchner in front of Sebastian Kolze Changizi.
Volta ao Alentejo stage 4
More or less the same situation as yesterday, the plan is to get Askov in the break to defend the KoM, but he is not allowed to go, the major difference is that this time Noah get away and stays away for the majority of the race, he was the last rider caught with less than 20 km remaining, he wins the KoM but it is not enough to keep fellow breakaway rider Hendrik Kruger (ProTouch Continental Pro Cycling) from taking over the KoM lead.
The stage was won by Luis Mendonça (Efapel), Nicolai Brøchner (5th) keep the overall race lead.
Noah win the KoM sprint
Volta ao Alentejo stage 5
The final day in Portugal, everyone on the team is happy but also a bit nervous, we are holding the GC, Points and U25 jerseys, fantastic but also a lot to lose.
We stay back and it comes to the expected mass sprint, won by Jasper Frahm (Rad - Net Rose Team), Nicolai Brøchner best from the team as 7th, and that was enough to win the GC with 10” to Daniel Silva (Radio Popular – Boavista), Nicolai Brøchner also won the points, Sebastian Kolze Changizi U25 and Jeppe Aaskov 2nd in KoM, a dream race for the team.
The team participated in Tour de Normandie (simulated), Jeppe Aaskov won the prologue, holding the lead for four days, finish best in GC as 11th, Nicolai Brøchner had 2 x 4th stages results.
After his return to Denmark, Noah was called to a meeting with team manager Christian Andersen:
Andersen: We are going to send 7 riders to Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay, 10 day from next Friday, but sadly you haven’t been selected for that race.
I expect to send you to Turkey for four days at Tour of Mevlana starting next Thursday, Nicolai will lead the team as he did in the other races you were in. In this race out Parther Svand Køkkenet have setup a special price for the overall KoM winner of € 500
Andersen: But in fact there is another option for you if you want too, our partner IRIS Finance Automation have decided to sponsor a visit to Belgian pro continental team Alpecin–Fenix, you will meet and train for 14 days with Lasse Norman Hansen and some of the Belgian riders, getting some experience with rider on a higher level. IRIS Finance will pay for everything you just need to pay for food, drink and such things.
Now you need to take a fast decision, either way you plane leaves the day after tomorrow. What do you say?
Option 1
Go to Turkey
(STA +3)
Option 2
Go to Belgian (no race)
(TTR +1, PRL +1, MO +1, COB +2, ACC +2, STA +2, RES +3, € - 300)

Just to give an impression of the setup we are using, this is the picture:
LVL 1 is evenly spread between 68 and 73
If he should ever be able to reach LVL 7 it will be evenly spread between 72 and 83
We might chose to change "daily" training - but that wont change the above.
We might at some point also be able to change rider type (long term training), but that will be at a cost, in that case the maximum lvl's will be switched to fit a new long term goal but unchanges and if anything is then above the max, it will be reduced.
All in all we can never get above our current max potentiale in any skill.

Thanks to both of you, guess we are going to Belgi', but voting will be up until tomorrow morning 7 AM CET, if anyone should prefer sunny days in Turkey.

Tour of Mevlana:
In the GC Sebastian Kolze Changizi best as 8th, after coming 6th in the prolog.
Best stage results came from Nicolai Brøchner, 3rd at stage four and 4th at stage two.

Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay:
ColoQuick dominated the race with Mads Østergaard Kristensen winning the overall GC, based on stage win in both ITT stages, also winning U25. Johan Price-Pejtersen 2nd at the first ITT stage, and we also took the Team classification, and the entire podium in U25.
Noah just came home from Belgium last night, checking in at the Team Headquarter.
Christian Andersen: Welcome home hope you had fun, go back to your family for a few day, I know you have been working hard.
Come back Friday as we have some local races and we need you there this coming Sunday. Got two races that day and you can basically pick the one you like.
GP Herning is clearly the most important for the team and all the major sponsor. Coloquick have provided some nice bonus for the riders to collect. We will set a strong lineup and you will have to act as support riders with no options to go for a personal result, unless of course you have already positioned the sprinters.
Team Leaders:
Race Profile
Bonuses: Team win: 60 €, Team podium: 30 €
Individual win: 500 €, Individual top 5: 300 €, Individual top 10: 100 €
After not riding a lot of races lately you might want to take part in U23 race GP Viborg instead, should be easier for you to get a personal result in a race with a relative weaker competition, would not mind seeing you with a moral boost from good results. You will have a completely free role but might want to join forces with Frederik and Oliver securing some good result for our team.
Our partner Uno-X is very interested in grassroots sport and youth development, often helpful with some nice bonuses for our U23 riders.
Bonuses: Individual win: 220 €, Individual top 5: 110 €, Individual top 10: 55 €
I'd go for Option 1 Herning. Most important race for the sponsors, so let's show some team spirit and make a good impression on the sponsor by showing up at that race instead of a smaller race where he's able to go for his own chance.
