You're absolutely right, but one thing that for example riders like Cancellara have, it's more resistance. Could be useful in the elimination, for example.
Sure. but I wasn't referring to him
MarcoPRT wrote:
Seriously, don't go that way. This db is going to have about 400 riders, and only 17 riders are not even listed in the most "hidden" track competitions. That feature, if you wanna call it a feature, was to allow some players to choose that riders, because, first of all, the track mode of PCM, it's an arcade thing.
I never said it was a bad thing

I never said that

I was referring to the word "fantasy".
Well, the essential is that you'll have an huge amount of choices. The riders who don't do track, everybody who don't want to play with them can just ignore 'em. Some road databases in the past had track riders as free agents, we're just doing the opposite.

Hincapie won some track races when we was still in under 17.
Almost every rider in this databse made track, some of them may seem that they havn't raced but they have won some small races, or some youngster events
At least i refered some rider to take part in this database and lots of them (like Hincapie) is in that situation

To back it up,
(from his website)
1990
* USCF Junior National Track Cycling Championships (San Diego, Calif.): first, individual pursuit (17-18), team pursuit, points race, kilometer time trial
1989
* USCF Junior National Track Cycling Championships (Colorado Springs, Colo.): first, omnium (15-16)
1988
* USCF Junior National Track Cycling Championships (Allentown, Pa.): first, omnium (14-15)
1987
* Junior National Track Cycling Championships (Trexlertown, Pa.): fourth, omnium (14-15)
And, Bettini on the track?

God, that's a really great help. Thanks one more time.
I'll update the first post as soon as Jolly assures me he already has the photos ready to put in the db.

It's good to see Hungarian Riders in the DB (for a hungarian member ).
But for me there is some interesting thing. Istvan Varjas, Adrian Hegyvari, Norbert Abrok haven't race since 2007. Gergely Ivanics and Attila Arvai are racing in the P-nÃvó Betonexpressz, Peter Legradi in Katay Cycling Team, and Andras Berkesi in FTC (Ferencváros).
[All the hungarian riders (in your database) were in 2007 in Team Cornix, but this team has in 2007 december closed.]
I think Varjas, Hegyvari and Abrok shouldn't be in your DB.
But we have a great young rider - Krisztián Lovassy - who had been in Track Cycling World Cup in Manchester in 2006, i think so he should be in the database.
I have photos all the riders, what i have written. Write, please how you decided about hungarian riders (who will be in DataBase) and i can upload the photos for you!
Sorry for my bad English... |

Are you sure about Abrok? Doesn't he race on a team named Go-Fast or whatever?
It's Jolly decision, but all fine for me. If you could arrange us some others hungarian track riders, even better.

Abrok race in the Go-Fast Bikeexpressz, i haven't know it, but i saw it on the website of the team and that's right... But it's "just" a hungarian amateur team, not a UCI Continental or a good hungarian team.
I can suggest more hungarian track riders on the next week, because this weekend are the hungarian track championships in Budapest and i will know who are great track riders here. |

First post updated...we'll try to launch this database in the next few days, after adding some more riders.
This database will also include the velodrome files made by JackyDurand, Miya, and possibly, the one by doddy as well, the starting gun sound, and some other things.

Wow, i'm impressed by how badly you botched that last line. "It's still impressing" isn't exactly what we'd call proper English. "It's still impressive" would be correct. |
