Indeed. I already dislike Sky enough for stealing the cricket. Down with Sky!

On a norwegian cycling page it says that Ricco has said who he got the drugs from, even said how much it costs, but he did not pay as he was promised it was not possible to find. |

Yep - Santuccione should still be in action, masked as a woman with women clothes, a wig and all that stuff.
"Santuccione reportedly remains active, and according to another anonymous source close to cycling, he "masquerades" wearing womens' clothing and a wig in order to go unrecognized. The Italian criminal authority, NAS, refused to confirm or deny whether they intended further investigation into Santuccione's activities." |

Chris Horner has broken his collar bone in some American race.
The ENECO Tour will be renamed to the Benelux Tour in 2009 as Eneco have withdrawn they're sponsorship of the race after 7 years.

The Italian cycling federation has decided that use of doping should result in a life time ban. This change will take effect from the beginning of 2009.

"I got a text from George today to say, 'Make sure we are room-mates - and bring a lot of movies!' I'm not sure what he wants to watch though!
Intersting part of an interview with David Zabriskie.
I wonder what will they do in a room with lots of movies

Source please ? Not that I don't trust you, but I need a source to believe and share my happiness with issoisso.
Let's hope it won't be called illegal though and that it will apply also to non-Italian teams or riders.
I mean if an Italian rider gets caught next season, he gets a 2 years ban by UCI and a lifetime ban by the Italian federation, but what if after two years he takes a Swiss licence ? |

Researchers at the German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg showed this year that delivering DNA vaccines by tattooing was 16 times more effective than injecting intramuscularly or intravenously.
Apparently the vibrating tattoo needle primes the body's immune system and enhances the body's response to it. "The problem is that some of the drugs would now fly under the radar with the tattoo technique because athletes would be taking a much smaller dose - it depends on the drug and how sensitive the analysers are," Dr Parisotto said.
I'd assume this common knowledge to some of you, but that's rather alarming when first seen.

It's not a lifetime suspension from racing, but from the italian national team. They'll never be called up again. Doesn't really mean much.

Aquarius: I don't know the details of it, but I don't think it's legal for them to give life time bans. The rules which count are the ones made by WADA, so any cyclist who actually gets a life time ban can just go to CAS and get it changed into a 2 year suspension.
Or, that's my theory.
I don't have any other sources than the one posted above. |
