I've got another question concerning loans. The rules state:
If Team A pays the wage in full, Team B has a minimum transfer fee of the value of the wage
Does the same hold vice-versa, i.e. if Team B pays the wage in full, Team A has to pay a fee which is at least the wage? I guess it's yes, but I'd rather be safe than sorry
Yes, but no fee can be payed by the loaning in team if the rider is level 1 or level 2 regardless of who pays the wage or how the wage is split.

Thanks for your clarification. Absolutely right for lvl 1/2 riders, should have mentioned I was talking about lvl 3+ riders. |

Posting this here from last year's rule, as silent auctions were mentioned in the General Transfer Discussion:
SportingNonsense wrote:
A note on silent auctions:
All FAs / Stagiares with bidding in the last 48 hours will need to be confirmed by silent auction. (Excluding the one bid threads, of course)
Teams involved must provide their maximum bid. This can be the bid they already posted in the thread, or can be higher.
The winner will be the team with the highest maximum bid. The rider's wage will be the minimum increase amount over the 2nd highest bid.
In cases where a team loses a silent auction;
- If they had the leading bid when transfers ended, or at some point in the last 12 hours of transfers, then they will be able to purchase a replacement Free Agent on a 50k wage. This choice will be made before the CT Draft.
- If the above criteria is not true, then there will be no opportunity to spend that money elsewhere.
For those in this scenario, it would help if you could PM ManGame-Admin - with the name of the rider in the subject - to tell us what your highest bid is. You can do this at any time, it does not need to wait for transfers to have ended.
This raises some questions for me:
- "The rider's wage will be the minimum increase amount over the 2nd highest bid": So when I bid 110k and the 2nd highest is 105k, I'd have to pay 115k? So I would actually pay more than I'd offer? Just need to do some math before do be sure I won't go over the salary cap
- If I understand correctly, if I had a leading bid somewhere in the last 12h, I will get a rider in any case, so the scenario viking90 presented here should really not happen.
- Will I be prompted to send my maximum bid, or do I need to anticipate and send it before transfers end?
Of course, these questions suppose that the silent auction rules will be the same as last year. I'm posting them because I didn't find them in this year's thread. |

SN might correct me but:
1) yes, seems so but in this case asking if this is possible budget wise is obviously needed. Often the gaps are bigger in silent auction though. e.g. 110k and 140k, then you won`t pay 140k but 120k only.
2) Yes, if your bid was leading with 12h to go, you can replace him if needed.
3) soon reaching the last moments of transfers, you should send such info to ManGame-Admin so that once ended, we can progress this as quick as possible. No need to wait with that info until the very end. If needed, you are prompted, but better to do it yourself in the last day.
And yes, silent auction remains same. |

On the punishments that will be used from now on if managers edit or delete a bid AND how to behave in case of clear mistake:
IF a clear mistake is been made (e.g. 1.500.000 instead of 150.000 bid) you have to PM the ManGame Admins to fix it. Afterwards you can continue to bid on that rider.
A clear mistake is necessary and something like bidding 550.000 when wanting to bid 450.000 is NO clear mistake!
Though if you start to edit or delete valid bids the following punishments will come to you and remain for future cases:
1) Your bid becomes invalid and you are no longer allowed to bid on that specific rider!
2) Your salary cap is getting a punishment reduction of 50/100/150k depending of CT/PCT/PT division. So new salary caps are lowered to 1.150.000/2.400.000/3.350.000 only.
To end this topic: No edit or delete at all is allowed in any part of the Man Game Transfer forums: Free Agents, Deals, Loans! |

OK, but what about double posts (i.e. the same bid is posted twice) or duplicate threads by the same manager due to technical issues?

This is obviously accidental. So admins will take care of this!
- double threads will see one being locked by admins!
- double posts basically remain and simply go on from them as if it was one bid only!
No matter what. No manager is allowed to edit or delete it themselves. |

Am i right to assume that a loan deal has no counter - it is final as soon as it has been accepted.
So you can use any income elsewhere immidianly ?
No counters mentioned in the rules.

This question has been answered by SN some days ago:
I've got another question about silent auctions: If I lose a silent auction on a FA, I can get another one for 50k. What if I lose one on a Stagiaire? Can I get another one for 10k, or would I have to choose an FA for 50k? Guess it'll never happen, but as a software engineer, I've learnt to nit-pick about any requirements/rules |

I think it's been a good couple of seasons since the silent auctions actually saw any competition rather than going to the end highest bidder! But yes, Stagiares work the same as FA.
You can do this for any deal or loan anyway, regardless of countdown, there's obviously just a risk in doing so.

I understand that, but if the risk is a negative budget - I dont dare.

Just a quick question on this one - as someone with potentially a huge amount of cap tied up in something that is likely to go to a silent auction, in which there is a good chance I will lose () will I only be allowed to sign one rider, or use the remainder of my cap on free agents as well? I presume it's the former, but it'd be good to have clarification as it'll guide how I play the next 47 hours |

To clear up some confusion I have on the silent auctions, a query:
Silent auction is obviously necessary when two (or more) teams have bid on a rider in the last 48 hours of the window.
Is a silent auction used when a rider with active bidding prior to the final 48 hour window receives only one bid inside the final 48 hours, or is the rider won by this final bid by default as is the norm before the window starts to close?
Was debated a little on Skype earlier today and no definitive conclusion seemed to be reached.

Silent auctions will involve all teams who led the bidding on a rider during the final 48 hours.

OK. That's clear thanks.
Hadn't thought through that I was creating a silent auction situation with a bid this afternoon. I know better now!

One silent auction question:
What happens in case I lose a silent auction and select a replacement 50k Free Agent that someone else in the same situation as me selects as well?
A new silent auction for that rider, a decision based on PM timing like with band choices, something else I can't think of right now?

Are we not allowed to post in the Transfer Discussion thread anymore?
I thought last year we were able to comment after transfers closed. I'm sure we were discussing the draft riders as they were revealed and able to comment on the results of the silent auctions.
Was about to comment how nice it was to see Menicucci picked up as a stagiare and found out I couldn't post anymore.

Noticed this aswell, was about to edit in all Loans & Deals in to the threads "List of Deals" & "List of Loans" but I could not edited there anymore. |

Yes, posting did not need to be switched off for that forum - I've enabled it again.
