Moises Duenas caught on EPO
kadel
because riders from certain nationalities have a different perception and attitude towards doping. It is widely known that especially many Spanish and Italian riders take too easily on the dopingproblem.

I bet on Saunier Duval, how does Cobo sudenly ride up a mountain with Piepoli and rides faster than F. Schleck.Frown

I love how you never even think about how F.Schleck suddenly rides up a mountain 2 minutes faster than Evans and Menchov Pfft

Pointing at everyone but your favorite. Go bias!

Anyway, as Piepoli said, if Cobo hadn't had 1 bad day in a mountain stage in 2007, he would've been top 5.

Actually it wouldn't suprise me if a CSC rider is caught, there is somthing odd about that can get old and way over the hill riders to sudely begin to win big races like P-N etc. I just didn't think about Schleck when i sended the post.
something about different nationalities approach towardsdope
I do not agree. But it's blatant how different nationalities are treated by their respective national athorities. It's mind puzzling that Puerto haven't caused even one spanish rider to be banned?

Quintuple post FTW!

you know what's scary? this is a test from stage 4. the ones from newer stages haven't been tested yet. So that's 2 positives in 4 stages...

what about the harsh punishments we were promised before TdF? or is it just something the norwegian comentators say to kill some time? i would like to see dopers rot in some aidsinfested underground prison like we've seen in the mask and stuff like that. give them epo and blood for bread and water!

Another rider caught.

In 1 way this is good for the sport. Dopers are getting caught
In another way, this is a bad thing, as it becomes painfully obvious that more and more of the pack are doped.

hehe the Gendarmerie search has found that he had a "substantial" amount of EPO in his hotel room. Under french law this is very much illegal

Members of Parliament adopted a new law which penalises the possession and trafficking of doping products in sport with prison sentences and fines.

Under the new measures offenders will receive up of five years in jail and a 75,000-euro fine, when it relates to drug trafficking, explained French Minister for Sport Bernard Laporte.

The penalty will be increased to seven years in prison and a fine of 150,000 euros when the offence is committed as part of an organised group or against a minor.

does anyone else find it suspicious that two Barloworld riders dropped out this morning? maybe the team moral is super low (hopefully) or maybe they are trying to get out before they are tested Rolling Eyes

i take it back, apparently they crashed out

well 1 broke his colllarbone so thats kind of hard to fake, and I don't think anyone would do that deliberately.
And the other didn't ride on the rest day so i can believe that he was really hurting.

After news of the second doping case, Dr. Damsgaard said according to www.dr.dk, "In fact, I think that these two cases show that their doping control does not work - because of the fact that two very moderate riders have been caught by random tests."

"I am afraid that if ASO did an EPO test on all riders in the peloton tomorrow, 10, 20 even maybe 30% of the riders would test positive for EPO," hypothesized Dr. Damssgaard, who thought it would be up to ASO as to whether the Tour de France would see more positive doping tests.

"If ASO continues doing only random tests, there will probably only be one or two more caught. However, if they work harder and start collecting a larger quantity of samples to test for EPO, we will see more positive cases," Dr. Damsgaard explained.
