I'm starting to feel sorry for Evenepoel, he's the biggest hype in cycling and he'll never live up to what people expect of him. Five TDF wins won't be good enough.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The pace he rode was abnormal for someone in the Junior category. Evenepoel used to play football for Anderlecht a couple of years back so he’s got sport endurance factor in his favour. But it’s insane, nevertheless. |

Well, there's the start of the Dutch domination. Van Vleuten smashing van der Breggen who smashed van Dijk. The speeds of the top two were insane! Although there is a little controversy over the lead moto's being a bit close to the riders, especially for van der Breggen. Either way, hugely deserved result for them. And it's worrying if anyone will have enough to beat the Dutch in the RR at the weekend...
Great ride from Kirchmann and Thomas for finish 4th and 5th. And Tayler Wiles finishes 10th!!!!!!!!!!

Yup nice to see Van Vleuten is such stellar form ever since Rio. Hope she can grab the jersey on the road, too.

Well this ITT has been incredibly anti-climactic, one throughly deserved winner in Dennis. As devastating as the Junior ITT, but even more impressive.

Totally agree with you, it was never going to be a great time trial, but hats off to Dennis anyway |

Dennis completely smashed the competition. Very much deserved winner here. Madsen also with great performance. I'm happy to see Kwiato 4th. After the podium, but it means Kwiato still have the power. I'm not expecting a medal in the RR, but with his ITT result, I'm confident, he will try his best there. |

Dumoulin now 2nd in Giro, Tour, and WC ITT. Sorta a triple vice-crown.

Martin Toft Madsen (finished 10th) is not even a full time cyclist but working as an engineer.
Just worth a mention.
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.

Oliveira again with a consistent result in the time-trial, slowly showing himself amongst the elite of riders racing against the clock.
And congratulations to Dennis, amazing ride, deserved win. |

Austria gets a Gold!!!!!! Laura Stigger wins the WJRR ahead of Marie Le Net, France, and Simone Boilard, Canada. Dissapointment for Barbara Malcotti, Italy, who made the right move but missed out on the podium in a four-way finish.

Amazing talent Laura is. I saw a news piece a year ago when she was still doing MTB. Incredible to have her win in her birth town now!

Talent is one word. She is also the Junior XCO WC, for two years running. Stated that the Omypic MTB is her immediate goal, and she was only competing in these worlds because they were local. So she's still primarily a mountain biker. So much so, this is only her second road race
One to keep an eye on if she does take on more road races after this result.

Being her second road race is actually more impressive, though I don’t follow women’s cycling much I’ll keep an eye on Laura Stigger. |
