Yeah I see your point. It is however ridiculous that a team cannot retain their riders for the same salary assuming they have the same budget for the next season. It just doesn't make sense.
I agree that you shouldn't be able to sign all rthe great riders, but irl wouldn't it be very unlikely that Voigt, Cancelarra, Sastre etc. left CSC Saxo on the same time?
well... ive done some testing (free of charge as usual )
You can extend a contract with the riders current salary if you dont hire a single rider in the first season no matter how cheap he may come.
If you hire in an additional rider (regardless how cheap he is a month) it is not possible to offer an excisting rider more than the remaining salary budget.
So... hire in a youngster that costs you 2000 a month and loose all your top notch riders...
lesson is, DONT HIRE ANY RIDERS AT BEGINNING OF FIRST SEASON, until they get it fixed that is.
Its being adressed at cyanides forum i see. So if your adressing me im not the only one complaining

This guy is probably complaining because on old games he had silly teams like the schlecks contador dekker menchov sastre and cunego therefore it is impossible to lose all 3 grand tours. I think its a good thing as it stops people having to many good riders and makes it harder to wins things as the riders will be stread across a few more different teams making it more competitive.
from my career experience so far, I can only agree.
