I forgot to say:
If it still doesn't work, could you please tell me:
1. Which races / stages appear on that day?
2. Which race / stage is crashing?
3. Which races / stages on that day have already been played / simulated?
4. Which race / stage is next up after the crashing race / stage?
Crash occurs when moving from March 10 to March 11.
1. Races on March 11 are: Giro del Capo (stage 5), Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia (Stage 4),Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (stage 2), Milano-Torino, Vlaamse Pijl.
2. I'm not sure that any race/stage is crashing. I've already played all my race/stages for March 10th and crash occurs when the "day turn" bar occurs on screen.
3. I've played Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (stage 2) and Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia. I believe the other 3 races have all been simmed already since as noted above crash occurs when the "day turn" bar appears on screen.
4. On March 11th the races are: Giro del Capo (stage 6), Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia (stage 5), Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (stage 3), Paris-Nice (stage 1), Trofej Porec
If there is a problem with a stage, then PCM "should" crash when trying to view that stage's profile. I have had the same problem before, and I can't remember how I got past it. I may have just mashed my game up in anger.
Thanks guys for all your help. I got a note from A_Schleck on how he resolved the problem when he had it, tried what he recommended and it worked! Solution below in case anyone else runs into this:
Here's what you do:
1. Open Hannes Converter
2. Select your savegame
3. Open up the 'STA_race' spreadsheet and find the ID for Paris-Nice in the 'IDrace' column
4. Memorize or copy that ID and go to the 'STA_stage' spreadsheet
5. Click on the 'fkIDrace' column at the top of spreadsheet so you can easily scroll down to the ID for Paris-Nice and find all the stages.
6. If the crash occurs on the day of Stage 1, then copy the number from the 'gene_i_computed' column that belongs to Stage 2 (This means that you will have to go to your PCM Game and find out from which city to which city the stage is taking place, to find out which one is Stage 2).
7. You might also want to copy the number from the 'IDstage' column
8. Once you have the figures you need, go to the 'GAM_config' spreadsheet
9. Now it's time to paste in the three numbers you have gathered. The 'IDstage' number goes into the 'fkIDstage_current' and the 'gene_i_computed' number goes into the 'gene_i_date' column.
10. Press 'Save' at the bottom of the 'GAM_config' spreadsheet
11. Then click on the 2nd button from the left at top of the Hannes Converter window and the window with your savegames appear.
12. Click the one you have just edited and save it, then anoter window appears which should display the spreadsheet you have just edited (GAM_config)
13. It's important that you highlight the name of the spreadsheet before you press 'OK', otherwise your changes won't be saved.
14. That's it.
