Actually it's not that bad with the TdF and FFC .. But it just starts the war between ASO and UCI again and that's bad for the entire cyclingworld .. They should think about what's best for the sport instead of fighting eachother .. Stupid S.O.B's |

Rumours say that Silence - Lotto has a contract ready for Gilbert. They have agreed terms, and now they only miss his signature. The spokesman of Silence has said that he'd be surprised if Silence doesn't end up with Gilbert on the team. |

he said a while ago he's got offers from a bunch of teams.
and here's where you can see the view that even riders have of Saunier: "even Saunier made me an offer" |

I hope Silence gets Gilbert, would be nice for them to get a top belgian rider in front of quickstep. |

Actually, the spokesman commented on that too. He said that he wasn't 100 % sure because of the episodes with Steegmans and Devolder where they had both almost signed with Silence, but then ended up at Quickstep because of a higher salary. |

it's up at the end of the season.
this time I doubt it very much that Quickstep will offer more, considering they probably won't even exist next year...
setzel: "it's up" is an expression that means "it ends" |

they've been searching for a 2008 sponsor for three years with no luck. They had to resort to begging Quickstep to sponsor the team this season (the contract with quickstep ended last year)
if they didn't get one until now, it's doubtful they'll get one until the end of the season
CA, Cofidis and Gerolsteiner are in the same situation. CSC still has no sponsor for next year either.
High Road also has no sponsor right now, but they say they've got a budget to race this season plus another one. |

Bob Stapleton, the owner of High Road is a very rich man though, and I think I heard a rumor he has a sponsor up his sleve for next season. |

Holczer (that's Gerolsteiner's boss) also said there was a chance they could still get a sponsor and that they'd know sometime before the Tour.
If they don't get sponsors, I'm interested in where a few certain riders will go.
If quickstep does end, the stupid "Boonen to Astana, he once rode for Bruyneel at Postal" rumours will start. conveniently forgetting that Boonen hates Bruyneel's guts.
I'd be more interested in Hushovd. Where he goes would be a telling sign of his character. And since he can't stand being anything but the sole leading sprinter for the team, chances are rather limited.

I'd been surprised if he signed for a non-french team, maybe FDJ if they have the budget? As kadel said Slipstream might be a good guess as well (considering Dean's riding there).
