Tour of Wellington Stage 7
A flat 50 km criterium through the streets of Wellington.
Early on the pack gave the break the green light to go.
They were brought back with 24k to go but, at the start of the sprint, there was a Tour of Britain like catastrophy for the organisers, the two TV motorbikes bringing each other down. This meant there would be no screenshots.
However, on the plus side, this meant there was chaos in the pack and, being very well positioned, I decided to go for the sprint. Just for a bit of fun.
I screamed over the line, convinced I'd stolen third from Sulzberger.
But no, I was cruelly denied.
It mattered not, though.
I've won the Tour of Wellington!!!

I also took home the young riders jersey and earned us the team classification.
My best result on the road!
I'm so proud!
I follow in the footprints of many other track riders in winning this!
I hope I can continue in this vein.
I don't know my next race but I'm ready and waiting.
