I spent and enjoyed by far PCM 2012 the most but it is far from flawless. Gamewise PCM 2011 is definitely better, however the managment part and especially stage variety is sorta limited. I will soon start playing a 2017 career on it tho and look forward to dive into that. I loved PCM 2015 for be a pro but probably later editions present a better pro mode

I actually enjoyed most of them, as long as you take into account that every single one has some sort of annoying bug you need to work with.
Best bug ever (don't remember which version anymore) was how you could finish outside the timelimit and then the very next stage they didn't count your time to your total time. So you could finish outside of the timelimit (so you didn't finish at all) and the next stage you were still in the race, only without the time necessary for the previous stage, sometimes literally grabbing the leader yersey. Now that was a real challenge to win a TdF
Then again, back then I didn't realize there were patches which might have fixed that ...
My first PCM was 2005 and I still like it (as PCM 2007 too), but my favourite is PCM 2010 (I didn't play PCM 2011 though, but see many votes for it - that's very interesting). Latest versions unfortunately are more arcade and boring for me, so I continue play PCM 2010 & I'll try PCM 2011 - that's for sure.
P.S. So, I downloaded & looked at PCM 2011 and can say, that PCM 2011 is greater in tuning. For example, you can add new scouting area in 5 minutes with editing DB & xml file with names of young cyclists. Me, I added Algeria for PCM-daily 2012 DB & it works correctly in the game.
