TDU stage 3.
Another flat stage but with any big hills, again I hoped to get a good result in the sprint finish, and I was confident after my victory yesterday.
At the start of the race a nine man breakaway got away, unfortunately there is no pictures of them, but Marcel Sieberg took all he KOM points which brings on level with Gavazzi, but Gavazzi will wear the Jersey tomorrow.
Today Euskaltel and Quickstep have made trains, I choose the wheel of Bru who had Isasi as lead-out man.
But Fischer and Hunt comes with great speed from behind with only 800 meters to go.
And Fischer wins ahead of me, Bru and Hunt.
Stage result:
1 Murilo Fischer Liquigas 3h25'29

TDU stage 4.
Again another flat stage, there’s quite a lot of them here down under, but I hope I can keep concentrated and not have focus on Willuga Hill tomorov.
Again a nine man breakaway out in front (they seem to like them down here), lead by Garcia Acosta.
Only Rabobank have made a train today, and I’m in the wheel of Hayman.
Hayman in a good position with 800 meters to go.
And he manages to keep us away and takes the victory, in front of me.

At the moment no way. Your story is very good, I really like it - you've got a good balance between text and pictures, and your updates are the right length. BVravo.
Anyway, good 2nd spot

I like your type of writing! Not so much text, and some nice pictures!
Remember to set Mandri on his type of races - when the exp. is level 2, there are the continental races you have to race with him. Level 3 - ProTour races. level 4 - grand tours.
Remember to just write about the races your guy is in!
But
Nice writing! I will read this story to the end! |

TDU stage 5.
Finally some real hills or a real hill, as it’s only Willunga Hill that’s going to decide who is going to win TDU 2008. I’m looking forward to racing it but there is some really great hill riders here, such as Barredo, Cobo and Luis Leon Sanchez, so I’m not expecting a top result today.
At the start of the day, something very unusually happened, a twelve man breakaway got away instead of a nine man breakaway, you can se the beautiful landscape that there was on this stage.
At the bottom of the hill I tried to get away, but it was hard since the spectators was very bad at moving their asses away from the road, and my attack made many others try to get away, including GC leader Fischer.
At the top of the hill Sanchez was alone in front, ahead of Florencio, and after him a group with Fischer, Joly, Cherel, Zberg, Halgand and me.
Sanchez wins all alone, ahead of Florencio, there where catch but not overtaken at the last Fischer took 3rd ahead of Zberg
Stage result:
1 Luis León Sánchez Caisse d'Epargne 3h32'26
2 Xavier Florencio Bouygues Télécom + 40
3 Murilo Fischer Liquigas s.t.
4 Markus Zberg Gerolsteiner s.t.
5 René Mandri AG2R - La Mondiale s.t.
6 Patrice Halgand Crédit Agricole s.t.
7 Mikaël Chérel Française des Jeux s.t.
8 Sébastien Joly Française des Jeux s.t.

Tour of Mediterranean stage 1.
A flat stage but I’m not going to take part in the sprints, in this race, for this w have Poulhies and Mondory, they are either better or in better form than me, in this race.
We sent Kangert in the six Breakaway today.
As the sprinters tried to get a good position in the sprint I was unlucky a Mitshibitsi (how do you spell that?) fell right in front of, and as you can see four other riders also fell there. It's me lying down together with that Tinkoff and Agritubel, in something that look like somekind of gay orgy, wich it wasn't!
C.A, frd.juex and Tinkoff made today trains.
Bonnet wins ahead of Mickhailov and Poulhies.
As I forget to export here some screens of the standings.
Top 12 of stage:
Me and others from my team losing time:
Many would see my time lose as bad, bur choose to see on the bright side of it. Now that I’m out of the GC I will focus 100% on helping Gadret, and I can be used as a tactical element as I’m out of the GC. And now I’m even more looking forward to Mont Faron.

At your story I am glad to see that Mandri has doing so well.. I should be happy. Just reading here Mandri interview at Estonian website...he was a little worried before the Giro..he isnt a decent shape after operation and crash, also guy has small astma condition (not hard enough to cure it..and to be inside UCI rules...so he should race with it) he was planning to be out on he's best at second part at the season.
But Ag2r team atmosphere is very nervous at the moment..no success and has he says there is war situation inside the team..wich doesnt help him to recover propely. Some guys are lazy to training some have terrible form.
Any one who has a normal condition is also but in startlist... has he in Giro.
Mandri booring? Maybe...but I belive there is quite few pro teams who like to see him on theyr list..hard worker and also have nice cool (finland style) temperament.
and ofcorse good luck with your story. |

Tour of Mediterranean stage 2.
Another flat stage, all I wanted was to get to the end and get some massage, but Mondory and Poulhies, had other plans, the wanted to the stage in the final sprint.
5 guys tried their luck at the start of the stage; the biggest profile was Willems from Liquigas.
Tinkoff for Loddo and Francais des jeux for Jegou, was in the front at the start of sprint.
Jegou in the lead with 700 meters to go, but Bonnet is coming fast from behind.
Jegou keeps his speed and wins with a great gap to Bonnet and Mondory, Poulhies got a 5th place.

Tour of Mediterranean stage 3.
Finally Mont Faron is ahead of us, the route has some medium hard hills besides Mont Faron, which will be ridden with 112% by everyone, but I’m not aiming for at win today, today is all about getting a god place for Gadret.
Ignatiev tries his luck from way out, and the pack is not catching him until 10 kilometres before goal, With 20 Kilometres to the finishing line Gadret, reported of bad legs, and as had diamonds I had to be prepared, for Mont Faron, it was hard to prepare myself mentally with only 15 kilometers to Mont Faron.
Danielson is the strongest on Mont Faron and takes the lead all by himself, but he can still be catched.
Behind a group containing, Moncuotie, Noe, Gadret, Moreno, Petrov, Rohregger and me, yes I’m in the leading riders at the last, and Gadret is also looking better now.
Danielson takes his victory, but is close to be catched by Moncoutie, and I was terrible in the sprint and ended last in the group.
