So close
Bad leadout and it could indeed be the lack of Dzamastagic which cost the victory here :/
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

And the MG wunderkind climber proves himself. There's no better quality sign than outclimb Schleck in such a finish. Congratulations, wacko!
But what a team performance from Vesuvio, impressive lieutnant work from Schleck's helpers, but slightly surprised to see the captain wait for the final kilometer after such work. Guess there could have been huge gaps had he or others pushed the pace when the Vesuvio climbers had done their work.
Happy to see Guldhammer alert and claim 4th on the stage, which is most likely his maximum here. The same goes for 5th overall, I think, considering Jayco'z TTT power.
Thank you for the report, matt17br! |

We have no great climbers here, but hopefully a strong TTT can give Kangert and Agudelo a decent GC.
Nice one by Dombrowski. Beating Andy is very hard indeed!

Decent result Herr König! On the right way to snatch top 10 result, good start.

Love the pace the reports are coming with, thank you, matt17br!
Very satisfied with that from our team. 28 seconds lost to Gazelle and even less to Morton is very good. Though, it's slightly annoying to see Guldhammer loose another eight seconds compared to his team mates. But still, the chances of challenging Morton in the GC after the TTT are better than I thought they would be pre-race. Would be cool to see him try to take advantage of the coming hilly stage, but I suspect that one is easy enough for Van Stayen to stay in the front and win it in a sprint.
Also cool to see such a close GC at the top, at least it gives the feeling anything can happen, eventhough Schleck is by no doubts still the big favourite considering the final two mountain stages. Though, it might not take more than a strong hilly stage from one of his challengers to give him serious problems considering the overall win. |

That TTT was very well reported, as has been the entire race so far. Thanks matt!
At this point I'm thrilled to have Amador in the leader's jersey, and he's been performing about as well as I could have expected.

I already regeret gambling so much on those TTTs in the close of the season. It's simply completely random, and really doesn't take stats into account. Even more random than other stage types.

After two ugh stages, glad the TTT worked in our favor. We will take points wherever we can get them. And it seems like shocking the world in TTTs is our thing.
I'm not complaining.

Very close GC. I like that.
And now towards the more interesting stages from my team's pov!
Edit:
So many questions about the leadout. Why did I not send Dzamastagic? Was Dakteris to exhausted by the hills? And why was Bekmanis picked over Siskevicius as final leadout? No idea but hey, Van Stayen still won

Perfect execution from Van Stayen, eventhough his team somewhat messed up. Congratulations, knockout. Van Stayen may like his chances for the points jersey as well, eventhough it's likely he'll need another stage win on stage 5, if Schleck does what is expected in the mountains.
Good thing Guldhammer got through safe, and so did everyone else. Just one more stage to get through before the real fight for the GC starts!
And thank you for the report, matt! |

Great lead-out by Boswell! Now I'm actually disappointed we didn't get the stage win even though I didn't have any kind of expectations at the start of the race.

@ember Thanks. He sure likes the chances but with Schleck having one more suited stage it will be very difficult. Even wearing the jersey for a couple of days and finishing 2nd would be cool already. It helps him that the other top sprinters didnt score too well.

Haha the TTT gods really like us. Another surprise win!
Shame we don't have a GC rider here who can take advantage. But every point counts, so very happy with this result.

What is Kreder taking? Hype from Gesink's victory?

Van Stayen gaining a great lead in the points standing with that second win in a row. Despite that, I think he doesn't have lots of chances of taking it home for Evonik |

Oh sweet
Another stage win surely makes this race a success - no matter whether Van Stayen can defend the points jersey or not. I still believe that Schleck is the favourite for that but a single succesful break can change that ...

A few top 10's in the opening stages, good to see us active here at the front of the race. Hopefully Kwiatkowski can get a good GC. |

Evonik-ELKO just can't go wrong this season, congratulations again, knockout!
All about damage limitation in the upcoming TT, hopefully Morton will still be within reach when it's done.
And thank you again for the swift reporting, matt17br |
