Most of that team can be created on a CT budget I think
I'd expect you to promote this season and both current standings and projected rankings suggest you will.
When you do, unless Garby's wage shoots up massively, you could probably keep him as a leader and still get most of that as a newly promoted PCT team which would be an interesting transformation to watch.
Hey! What about the team that's actually partly registered in the Carribean?

I like the Southern American Team even more! The build up porcess for PCT looks stunning, even though I wouldn't be as calm as you need to be for the process...
I think you are underestimating the PCT though. Talking of the cobbler as a Top 10 PCT cobbler looks just wrong. And still, without that extra leaders I would see every single of the built up teams as relegation candidates...

Well, having a decent base and almost 1mio for wages of stars should be good enough to survive the PCT I think.
True. He would be around 10-15th looking at the PCT competition this season, but riders like Cancellara, Maes, Franzoi, Breschel, Lhottelerie and the likes of those are not relevant at that time, and riders like Baugnies, Langeveld, Gaudin, Ferreira, Zepunkte, Taubel, Joseph, van Asbroeck and Vanbilsen are currently looking to promote to the PT.
So if that is all going to plan he should be in the top 10 - But things are developing of course - But having a team like this would also bring more talents (and probably a few better ones) than what is currently available.

that's why I talked about a team without the extra leaders
well I guess that equals out, but let's see I'd like to see this team though
for me it's kind of the same task in an easier way - building a team out of Slovenians and other regional riders with replaceable leaders from other regions (or even better from Slovenia as well), so interesting how you would develop these riders in your example

I have a few more that I will put up today or tomorrow - and one of them from a region interesting to you so maybe some inspiration there

Wow, some really interesting stuff SotD! Looks like I made some decent job with the DB when it is possible to create such interesting teams in these developing cycling nations. Can't wait to take a look especially on that Hungarian team!

They'll definately come. I've had less spare time than assumed, but I reckon that I will get some time next week

Is it just me, or have all the links to the tables now missing? This was a real interesting thread that I didn't have much time to respond to at the time, and wanted to re-visit. SotD - if you see this, would be real interested if you could update/fix the links. The final 'Hunger Games' squad would also be cool to see .

Hi. I guess I'll come around to get this fixed at some point. It was due to the change of Dropbox, so the files are still there, just needs to be re-uploaded somewhere else... When I get the time
