I will be following Evgeni Petrov's every move! Heres to Tinkoffs classic attacking every stage riding! With the plentiful TT miles, Petrov will get another top 10 overall i feel, preferably not crashing this year when he finally gets in a good time earning move... other than that, i couldn't give a hoot who wins the Giro, other than Di Luca not doing... bit suspicious that whilst caught in a Italian grand tour, the Italian anti doping people let him off easy... anyone else would have been put down for life, guilty or not... ah well. Go Petrov!

I would agree with alot of whats been said. With Astana being at the race now with there 3 main riders they have a team that could take all the top 3 places. Kloden looks to be in form but Levi seems to feel he has a good chance to do well with the time trials. But the riders for the other teams will have had the advantage of riding the climbs from the moment they knew they were in so it all depends of how much of an advantage it gives them and what condition the Astana team turns up in. I wouldn't see them having a rider test positive they couldn't afford to be that stupid!! |

it was. It's Soler. I was just teasing him for misspelling "Colombian"

You damned bugger
Kloden isn't going to win the Giro...never ever.
Maybe Contador, but who knows about his form?
Most likely Levi though, he's in good form, and he can TT very well + he can hang with the best in the steepest of mountains.
Therefore, watch out for Karpets!

di luca won something this year?
However, Giro mountains aren't Tour mountains... They are far steeper, and romandie mountains are shit (5/6%)
Anyway, I would be suprised with Klöden as winner tbh Klöden is not Ullrich, they're approximately the same size, but when both are/were on form, Klöden weighed like 64 kg (1,84m) whereas Ullrich weighed 72 or 73 kg (1,83m), if both could climb as well on 7% slopes, tougher slopes give Klöden an advantage.
I can't see why (I mean physically) Klöden would be disadvantaged on steeper climbs compared to the likes of Di Luca, Simoni, etc. |

Contador, Levi and Kloden... We've all seen that Contador and Levi work well together but I'm not sure about Kloden... I can't see him working for Levi or Contador... But maybe that's for the best 'cause if they worked together they would beat the others fairly easily...

I agree........but don't think he will win. Would be nice to see him in a sprint for a stage win again though( anyone remembers TdF 2005? ) B) |

Contador has now stated that he will not be a team leader at the Giro.
He will be working for Kloden and Leipheimer.
He also said that his goals for the season are "Winning the Vuelta and the Olympics RR"

Not so shine startlist..i gonna cheer for veteran Simoni. Dont expect much ..but I just like the guy. Highroad has booring list. I hope that Ricco will fail completly, Soler will be just for training as already tradition for later TdF climber jersey winner.
Bruseghin...intresting to see what he is capable has leader.
Astana..they dont should be here. |
