It's free, no more needed to be said really. Although issoisso/FullMetalNeckTie's point should be listened to and given the highest attention and respect due to the fact cycling.tv ripped him off.

Look what you started T-Baum, the world's most boring ethical debate
I'm just going to confirm what I and several other people have already said: If the security on the site is soooo poor theres several ways of obtaining the stream for free, what do you expect?
If cycling.tv are losing money, then they really ought to try harder to protect their investment. If I left my bike unlocked outside my house, and someone steals it, whose fault is it? My own, for not taking the right precautions! Its so simple! |

lol
I steal Cycling.tv's stream as well, if all I have to do is write an adress in my browser. But that really doesn't justify me stealing it. I think though that Cycling.tv really doesn't care, because many of those races I wouldn't be able to see even if i payed, simply because it's north america only, due to some other company have the exclusives in my country. I can also watch football through chinese internet television, and in that case I guess I'm stealing from some TV company having the rights in my country. Often though, I've already payed those TV companies, I just don't get to choose what to watch in my household, so is that stealing?
Then there's the whole issue of copyright of digital codes! In my view it's kind of old fashioned to treat digital material as were it butter and bacon, or gold and oil. Mainly because the number of copies doesn't affect the prize at all. But that's a very complicated discussion, and can be found elsewhere on the web.
But the short version is, I can't jusify me using those services, I have not payed to use. But frankly, and this is what it all comes down to. I don't give a crap. |

Is it just me, or the only people having problems are those paid for it?

That's what''s so ironic about all this
I mean, even the ones who pay for it use the "illegal" links

I paid for it and it rarely ever works on this PC, the laptop, my neighbour's, the other laptop, or the PC at work (just so you know it's not the PC's or the connection's fault).
Usually I get an error, or some stupid error that logs me out automatically, the video on demand seems to be unavailable most of the time when it should be, the transmissions, when I get to watch them are always late.
So, if you really want them to justify stealing the feed, first justify to me why you took my money and provide a service that is far below common standard in availability (not to mention the frustrating lack of usability of the site)
I await your typical "divert the issue and agressively answer nothing-at-all" response.
Aggressively answer "nothing-at-all"? I thought I was asking questions, not answering.
As for your request: Technical support is available from . If you buy something and it doesn't work, that doesn't mean you're entitled to steal everything that company makes, let alone steal every product from the company and share it all with your friends.
Try again. |

You didn't win... I just don't want to argue with someone that recurs to insults to "prove" a point...
Oh, am I allowed to reply to you now? I'll happily dissect your two arguments if you'd like me to demonstrate exactly why you're wrong. When have I ever "recurred" (I think you mean "resorts"?) to insults? I can't see a single insult from me in this thread... |

Ahem, Internet Piracy Handbook chapter 3, paragrah 11: If one is not trying to protect his property, he shall not complain.
You have yet to attempt to shut down the site that infringe your copyright or closed the loophole.
Lots of presumptions in this thread, aren't there? Myp2p and this very site (amongst others) have already been served with "cease and desist" letters.
Waghlon wrote:
Internet Piracy Handbook chapter 1, the very first line: One cannot compete with free.
In summary: Tell the owner of the site of fix the loopholes, take legal action against the site that is ripping CTV's feeds, THEN (thats the keyword) comeback here and play moral guardian of all thats good.
And while we're at it, install bars on your windows and sit guarding the door with a shotgun, otherwise it's not morally wrong for me to steal from your house. |

Well at least one person on here is actually telling the truth. You're a saint. And a criminal, obviously, but an honest one. |
