So, I finally got myself together to have a look at this story. I really like the team you've chosen. Not very ordinary, not very strong, but still strong enough to be considered.

Good luck Smile

Good luck in the TT and GC.
Which difficulty are you playing on?

A hilly stage today could provide a very interesting tactical battle and a tricky situation for us but I thought we could do well even though Arnoldo is not great in the hills and I had been up all night planning tactics for every eventuality.

Laurent went alone in a break to take the mountains lead. We would wait till the penultimate day before trying to steal that classification.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0001-6.jpg

He was brought back in after Fernandez and Colex had set a good pace in the peloton. Arnoldo was on another superb day and he attacked with 5k to go to try and extend his GC lead.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0002-3.jpg

It blew the race apart. Favourites were cracking left, right and centre and I'm extremely surprised that the peleton kept together. But this pocket of form is doing wonders for Arnoldo who soloed away to another superb stage win.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0004-5.jpg

His GC lead is massively strengthened and it looks like he should hold it. Not boasting or anything, but Arnoldo holds the lead on GC, points and young riders, Freddy is near the lead in the mountains and we lead the teams classification by 5 minutes.

A proud, proud day for me.

Three stage wins so far and the lead in nearly every classification.

Can it get any better?

Also, the team were given a wildcard to Paris-Nice, a race which would be great to perform at.

wackojackohighcliffe
Big Update tonight

should finish TOC and start Paris-Nice

Does that give only experience points on level 2 because it is registered as 2.HC

TT Success!

It is amazing what form can do for you.

Arnoldo dominated the TT.

Sadly all my other riders slipped down the rankings.

This is just amazing. (With Arnoldo like this i could ramp it up to Extreme)

A hilly stage where we would go for the mountains points and try to extend Arnoldo's GC lead.

Piamonte went alone in the break.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0003-4.jpg

He hoovered up all the mountains points before dropping back and somehow managed to stay with the bunch to the end.
As this tactic had worked so well with Arnoldo's great strength I would keep going with it.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0005-3.jpg

It's just too easy for him. I will be troubled to keep him at the end of the season.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0006-5.jpg

With the early break we now control every classification.

The final stage. Was an upset on the cards.

Piamonte went in the break to secure his mountains jersey.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0001-7.jpg

He duly did but having missed a big split up front dropped back to the pack.
With the 3 riders up front having a big lead I thought that Arnoldo should try something just to send a warning to the peloton and really leave his mark on the race.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0002-4.jpg

As I said before with this form he is flying and he soon caught all but one of the strugglin breakaway. He passed the world champion like he was standing still.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0003-5.jpg

During his sprint he got De La Fuente, the leader in sight. Surely he wouldn't catch him.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0004-6.jpg

Oh but he did and quite emphatically. Victory for Tecos!

What a race!
Unsurprisingly Arnoldo is christened Rider of the Month by Cycling Magazine.

Next up Tour Ivoirien de la Paix before I decide if I shall participate in Paris-Nice. It depends on wether it gives more points than usual 2.HC races. Can you help me out here?

niconico
Nice domination with Alcolea Smile, but I don't think Tour Ivoirien de la Paix gives more points than any other .hc races.

I meant Paris Nice

Tour Ivoirien de la Paix is 2.2

niconico
Well it does but you won't see anything of those points as you aren't ProTour, so you won't score points in Paris-Nice.

Its not protour anymore schleck

i was wondering if it gave riders level 3 experience points or not or extra continental points because otherwise i won't bother as competition will be too stiff

It doesn't. Gives experience exactly as any other HC race would.

However, the races that are rated as "XPT" like Milano-Sanremo still give out XP as if they were still pro-tour.

I've suggested that they up PN and TA to "XPT" status if a new version of the DB is released..

Cheers Kurtin

That means that there will be no Paris Nice for me.

However there will be a packed march

We chose to miss Ivory Coast's biggest race and replaced it with the Volta Santarem.

The first stage was hilly and we would look for a stage win with Arnoldo.

Omar Cervantes went in the day's TV break. The manager wanted to see what this kind of exposure would do for the business in Europe.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0001-8.jpg

When they were brought back in with 30k to go Arnoldo attacked.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0002-5.jpg

Others followed but his crushing pace destroyed them all and they fell of his wheel with 15k to go.
The peloton nearly caught him but he held out to the finish. Herrero is just out the picture.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0003-6.jpg

There were no time gaps on the stage.

wackojackohighcliffe
A big break went on todays undulating stage and we thought we might have a torrid day pulling them back.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0004-7.jpg

We spent ages trying to pull them back and although it looked unlikely we just did with 600m till the start of the sprint. Arnoldo gave Jesus a flying lead-out.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0006-6.jpg

But his insane strength took him away from Perez in the sprint, who faded to 7th, and powered to one of his most impressive victories yet.

i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll27/wackojackohighcliffe/PCM0007-5.jpg

Tommorows time trial may decide this race.

wackojackohighcliffe
The worst TT ever for me and the teams worst result so far. I told them to go off too slow and they couldn't recover their losses.

I'm distraught. I completely blame myself.

I can't describe the stage.
We also lost the GC lead.
