Daniel Thorsen was a bargain!! Very nice purchase there!!!

A lot of young riders to develop as well! Looking forward to see how this team goes in its first season!!

Thanks! We are also looking forward to start the season! I'm very satisfied with the way we have our experienced and some young riders who can learn from the experienced ones. Smile

Thorsen might turn out very good for your project! Good luck with him!

PS: Amazing jersey, the best maybe?

Thanks! We are very happy with the shirt Will007 has created for us, and are ready to show it off in the upcoming season.

Well we know who will be winning all the pan flat sprints in CT! And for 70k!!

Well done Smile

He's a gamble, but this is what we are hoping for! Smile

Im not too sure how well Thorsen will do, but for nearly minimum wage, it is always worth a shot.

I think he often comes close at CT level, but can't compete much higher than that. Either way, as you say, well worth a gamble at his price.

We know he's a gamble, but we believe in him, and I'm sure if he's not dominating he will at least score some decent points in the sprint! Wink

Nice team, I'll second what Count and Valverde said about Thorsen being iffy in general, but is fine @ minimum wage

also nice pick up with Rumsas, he'll be a good time trial rider when fully developed

we are very happy to have Rumsas in our squad! Grin

The 31 year old Joseph Cooper is gonna be an important team mate! He is very experienced and is former New Zealand champion. He also possesses a decent sprint and is gonna be a part of our sprint train!

i67.tinypic.com/2s7xrtc.jpg
Just as Thorsen, Mikayil Krasnoperov is another big gamble! But we believe in him, and he is the very strong climber we needed in our squad. He'll mostly be alone in the mountains because our main focus is on the more flat terrain, but he should still be able to pick up some good places in the mountainous races.

pedalmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Adrien-L.-Costa-IMG_2233.2.jpg
Aggrey Sebright is another rouleur in our squad. He'll be setting the pace at the front of the bunch, and helping out as much as possible. He is a very strong TT’er and should get some good results in the time trials.

www.direttaciclismo.it/images/archivio/medium/4225_zurlo.jpg
Emanuele Rizza is our main lead-out man for Thorsen. In case Thorsen disappoint and don't get the results we expect from him, Rizza will take his place as the teams sprinter. Emanuele is very experienced, and with his age of 32 he has been in the peloton for a lot of years! We bought him from Aeropostale and we are very happy to be able to call him a Spark rider.

Our oldest rider next season is gonna be Serge Pauwels Serge came from a transfer from Aegon. Serge is gonna be our “Capitaine de Route” in most races next season. He is a decent climber and has a decent TT aswell!

oi63.tinypic.com/e6aqvq.jpg
Ronald Sue is one of only 2 professional riders from Fiji this season! He is gonna be our leader on the cobbles! He is an excellent rider on the cobblestones, but he is gonna have a hard time against the Belgium riders who have been almost living on the cobbles there whole life.

Our team is not very strong in the mountains, but Antonio Pedrero was born in the Sant Llorenç del Munt mountains, and is ready to help Krasnoperov as much as possible.

cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/2011/03/12/2/000_par6133210_600.jpg
The experienced French climber Rémy Di Gregorio is gonna be an important part of the team in the stage races. He's gonna be Krasnoperov lieutenant in the mountains, and try and deliver him as far up the mountains as possible.

i67.tinypic.com/33ji6pe.jpg
Kiril Yatsevich is gonna be our main leader this season. Unlike Thorsen and Krasnoperov who are gambles, Yatsevich simply has to perform for our team to be successful. Hopefully he'll be tearing up the timetrials in CT! With a bit of luck he should also be able to win a flat stage race with a timetrial, at least that's what we're hoping for.

Our first stagiare who is gonna be joining us in August is Hamish Schreurs. Hamish is a strong rider and we are excited to be able to give him a chance on our team for half a season. We are hoping that we can develop his skills and make him a top rider.

Alex Frame is a strong track rider and won a gold medal in the team pursuit at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Yvelines, France. His background on the track have made him quite a good sprinter, and his prologues are decent too!

Great Ocean Road Classic!

www.infrontsports.com/media/1982571/cadel-evans-logo.png
We start the season off with our biggest goal. The goal is to win the Great Ocean Road Classic with Thorsen! It is gonna be very hard, but the guys will definitely give it their best shot! It will be the first chance to se wether Thorsen's high price will pay off or not. It is also our first chance to show the new colours and Cameron Karwowski's kiwi national shirt.

Tour of Southland

i67.tinypic.com/2z73pef.png

We selected our goals before the transfers, and we didn't really get the stage racer that should get us this goal. But we do have Mikayil Krasnoperov who will definetly give it his best shot. Krasnoperov is possibly the best climber in CT, his time trials are decent and he should be one of the biggest contenders for the win. This is also a race on homeground as our headquarters are based in Invercargill and Southland.

Post Danmark Rundt!

www.nyborg.dk/~/media/NyborgKommune/Images/Content-Images/Article-Images/Nyheder-2016/Marts/PostNordDanmarkRundtWeb.jpg

First goal for our biggest man Yatsevich. The goal is top 5, and with 3 flat, 1 hilly and a 30 km time trial on the last stage it should be possible for him. The hilly stage is gonna be a problem for Yatsevich, but if he can get through that without loosing too much time, he'll be deadly on the time trial. And hopefully win the lost time back.

Herald Sun Tour

oneprocycling.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/jayco.png

Another goal for Kiril Yatsevich. 4 flat stages and a 17 km time trial, Yatsevich needs to perform here. This race is perfect for him and as the best time trialer in CT he simply has to win. We didn't know we would have one of the top contenders to the race when we selected our goals, so the goal is "only" top 5, and we simply have to achieve it!

Team Standings

The Rider wrote:
i87.photobucket.com/albums/k124/therider7/thumb22_zps7kfz9pft.png One word comes to mind: gamble! A team very hard to place due to the inconsistent erratic nature of their leaders. Yatsevich, is the division's best against the clock, however, time trials will depend heavily on form on the day. We can't see breakaway riders contributing many points to the team's tally.
i87.photobucket.com/albums/k124/therider7/thumb11_zpsgnvntbaq.png Yatsevich is the team's best hope. Winning TTs and consquently stage races are key for this team finishing in the top 20. Krasnoperov and Thorsen, in a way, might be considered the best climber and sprinter in the division and at least some cameos/stage wins are expected from them. The Belarusbank of 2016!

The goal is top 15 and according to the average of all the predictions we will just make it. Of course we would like to have a top 10 and fight for promotion, but to achieve this goal would be ideal. SportingNonsense's prediction was officially the most accurate last year, and this year he gave us the best prediction of all of them. He predicted us 7th so hopefully he'll get it right again!

Best predicted: 7th
Worst predicted: 18th
Average: 14,50
Position according to averages: 15th

Anton Cooper was the only one who really did anything in the one race we raced in January. Thorsen was best man, and finished 30th. But 22-year old Cooper spent the whole day showing off the new colours in the breakaway, and has deserved the rider of the month.

Yatsevich managed to get our best result this month with a 9th place in the Benelux prologue. But we expected a win and a leaders jersey on the first stage, so I simply refuse to give it to him. Karwowski didn't do anything special, but he got in the breakaway on stage 4 and 5 in Benelux. That also shows how bad these first 2 months have been. We are also lasst in the CT standings. We need to up our game.
