It is harder to get 1 Million people on a moutain, that is miles away from a major Pop. center, the center of London is right in the middle of one

OMG yes i was there, what a friggin spectacle. Also it almost made me feel a pro when i got cheered up by massive crowds of dutchies riding up the mountain in a Rabobank shirt (slowly dying in the process btw Shockops: )

Best race i visited ever(one of the first too), if you ever go to a mountain stage at the TDF that would be my first pick by a mile (ok partly cause it's supposed to be a 'dutchie' mountain too Grin )

Even sleeping in the back of a Opel/Vauxhall Corsa eating dried bread for breakfast and not showering for three days couldn't ruin the experience Wink

Paris-Roubaix is by far the best spring classic.
