Doesn't necessarily work as a cohesive team but I'm dreaming about that part working too
Road Captain: Eisel - likeable, perhaps not as driven as he was/is talented? (I consider this a good thing, see below it's a theme!).
Sprinter: Greipel - fast enough to win 10 TdF stages, willing and versatile enough to suicide attack etc for team mates in the classics and no-one has a bad word to say about him.
Team Leader: Bardet - exciting going up and down and still only 25.
Co-leader: Kwiatkowski - Hilly classics above and beyond any grand tour nonsense though that might yet change for him in a few years time? So long as the 2014 Worlds win spirit continues to pervade.
Climber: Mancoutie - Apart from relative success in a tainted age where no-one has ever implicated him (in fact numerous people have exonerated him) this quote from him says it all for me "Equipment, even the latest technology, that's not my thing. What I like is to be on my bike and to ride. That's when I'm happy." It was all about happiness for him and (at the risk of sounding like a mid life crisis moment) shouldn't that be the same for all of us.
Dom 1: Stannard - beast...plus Omloop Het Nieuwsblad x 2 were great ways to see in the spring season.
Dom 2: Ten Dam - elite climbing support but basically I love that he put everything out there on Strava, info which i continue to find fascinating to this day.
Dom 3: Hansen - likeable, interesting, different, hard working, indefatigable and can win some stuff too.
Dom 4: Tony Martin - Another beast, this one with a wee TT string to his bow.

Although TMM stole some ideas of mine I'm still going to do this.
Road captain: Gino Bartali, a great person, in and outside the peloton.
Sprinter: Andre Darrigade, he won 4 (or was it even 5?) times the opening stage of the Tdf in a row, and that's in a time without helpers for the sprint.
Leader: Eddy Merckx, could win every race
Co-Leader: Freddy Martens, Merckx with worse climbing skills
Climber: Charly Gaul, national hero, awesome climbing skills
Domestiques:
Fränk Schlëck, worked hard for his brother, and before also for Sastre, great climber.
Jens Voigt, great person, hard worker, but also strong in many kinds of terrain.
Tyler Hamilton, worked hard for Lance and has an enormous staying power.
Rudi Altig, strong sprinter, on hills and time trialist. Not a dom, but I wanted to include him.
