Our sponsor lineup has been FINALISED!
You'll just have to wait and see as to who we've secured in transfers- but here's a clue as to one of our riders!

Today, our team presentation will begin! Having completed almost all of the requisite paperwork- our friends at KAYAK helped us out on that one- we are now ready to present our team- our 18 riders will all be revealed at different points today, although if we were you we'd stay especially tuned during halftime at the Euros!
Our first rider is going to be revealed imminently!

First Rider
Yes, that's right, we have secured the services of current Swedish National Champion Christopher Stevenson! He isn't quite the rider he was, but will provide invaluable experience, and will get his Swedish NC jersey(made by krisa, superb as ever) on the TV as much as possible. We are really glad he's joined us. Welcome!

Our second rider to be revealed today is Linus Dahlberg! The Swede sprinter, secured for €150,000 from fellow Scandinavian team Valio-DeLaval, will lead our train into a lot of CT races, while also providing a top-class leadout to...

Jerome Giaux! This versatile rider, with a stellar stat of 77 SP, will be key in our quest to escape CT. At home on the hills, cobbles and the flat, Jerome was bought for just €235,000 from Puma-SAP. A bargain!

Yes, it's Phillip Gaimon! Our American leader, the Ohio-born climber will be crucial to our goals this season. Along with Jerome Giaux, Gaimon will be the top dog at KAYAK this season- can he bring us a bone?

Giaux is a great signing at that price considering he is also good on the cobbles
We're happy Gaimon found a home with you, he's one of our team's most historic riders, but at the PCT level he wasn't gonna cut it, but im sure he'll be great for you at the CT like he was for us
good luck this season! |

Only 26, Norweigen Ole Haavardsholm is an absolute steal on just 50,000 a year, a puncheur who we are confident will show the CT some fist!

Viktor Renang, secured for €190,000, will be a key player at KAYAK-Clas Ohlson this season- he'll spearhead our sprint train and provide plenty of wins in the TTs that we have littered across the schedule. We believe. Do you?

Songezo Jim is a fantastic coup for us- having recieved his racing education at Team Telkom for Africa, we here at KAYAK-Clas Ohlson were offered the opportunity to pick up the superb South African climber at a cut-price fee. We grabbed it with both hands!

Mirsamad Poorseydi! This Iranian mountain goat, who is also at home on the flat, was signed from Shimano-Siam Cement for... nowt. Zilch. Absolute bargain, especially as his surprising time-trial prowess means he gets to wear this jersey, wonderfully hand-crafted by krisa...
Welcome!

Michael Torckler is a New Zealander drafted in to provide some new speed to Jerome Giaux and his merry men. We are also confident he can make the selection on lumpy stages and provide something to worry about for the established puncheurs. Come on in!

Very nice NC jersey for Poorseyedi there. I first planned to keep him, but in the end had to free up some salary cap. However national TT champion of Iran doesn't really mean he's a good TTist.
Still I hope the jersey gets some screentime throughout the season. Btw you didn't find a picture as he's irl called Pourseyedi(golakhour) |

@maxime: You had to make a bold decision with Gaimon, but it's probably the right one- I just hope we're the right team to squeeze two more seasons out of him. And as for Giaux, he's basically our sprint and cobble leader, despite only having 71 COB. May as well make do!
@Bikex: I know Poorseydi can't really TT, but... that jersey! And thanks for the spelling.

The Rest
Varsham Darbinyan
On loan from Novatek- Panarmenian.net, this young Armenian sprinter has a lot to prove, having flown under the radar so far this season.
Season Rating So Far
Kiel Reijnan
KAYAK's very own Roy Essandoh, after being signed from Flores-Ceitec for around 50,000 Euros following an ad in the General Discussion thread, this American time-triallist is slowly finding fitness in preparation for targets later in the year.
Season Rating So Far
Carter Jones
This American climber was secured from Chiquita-Universal for a price somehow haggled down to 20,000 Euros- bargain. He's been Mirsamed Poorseydi's mountain lieutenant in the almost-concluded Tour of the Middle East, and has flown totally under the radar to secure a Top 20 finish.
Season Rating So Far
Expect more soon- it's the points race in the omnium now, you see. Needs must.

More of the Rest
Kim Magnusson
Swedish fast man Kim Magnusson has had a baffling season so far, including being leadout man for Jerome Giaux, flogging himself in breakaways despite the fact that he is our only recognised sprinter at that race and by virtue of an admin error being sent to Luxembourg on a two-man TT with Kiel Rejinan.
Peculiar to say the least.
Season Rating So Far
Rúnar Örn Ágústsson
[img]
https://www.alvoge...etrial.jpg[/img]
This minimum-wage Icelandic time-trialist is, to put it bluntly, struggling. He's struggling to finish races. He's struggling to compete in his favoured discipline.
Runar's out of his depth. And it's a sad sight.
Season Rating So Far
Mauro Santambrogio
This Italian veteran really has shown CT what he can do, having held on to the polka-dots at the TOME for nine days and attacking consisently. Bought for just 35,000 Euros, he has proved himself.

Late Extra- The Story of KAYAK-Clas Ohlson's Season
In early January of 2016, Brexit was but a glint in hardline Tory MPs' eyes. Donald Trump had not yet claimed his nomination as Republican candidate- in fact, Marco Rubio was still a thing. Leicester were considered certain to blow the Premier League.
And KAYAK-Clas Ohlson didn't exist.
In the beginning, Phillip Gaimon secured a top 10 finish at the Clasico San Cristobel- Gaimon generally kept his head above water to justify his 100,000 Euro transfer fee from In-N-Out p/b Carrefour. However, his fellow marquee signing Jerome Giaux struggled all season- uneasy on both the cobbles and the flat, he couldn't cut the mustard and could only muster a couple of top 10s.
There was also a mini-contigent of veterans signed up to the first ever squad list- Mauro Santambrogio lit up the early season with his scintillating attacking style. Equally, big Dutchman Joost Posthuma put his body on the line for his team, with a solid overall perfomance topped off with a podium in the Middle East. Viktor Renang and Mirsamed Pourseydi found the going tough, with no stand-out results, but to be fair to them both Pourseydi was excellent at the Tour of The Middle East, although relegated to second fiddle by lieutenant Songezo Jim, and Renang's big yearly goal at the Duo Differdange was scuppered by an admin error, with 58 TTist Kim Magnusson being dispatched in his place. As for Swede Christopher Stevenson...
He showed off Krisa's excellent Swedish champion jersey in a couple of breakaways.
American Kiel Reijnan had a Top 5 on GC at the Post Danmark Rundt, while Carter Jones and Anders Ekh Dahlberg were both excellent, with Dahlberg especially surging late on. Baharani time trial speciallist Sayed Alawi threw himself into everything that moved in the middle of the season- also good.
Linus Dahlberg, however, had a less satisfying season- spent mostly as a leadout man for the aforementioned Giaux, who he comfortably outperformed on more than one occasion. The less said about Icelander Runar Orn Agutsson the better. Armenian Varsham Darbinyan, on loan from Novatek-Parmienian.net, also failed to really get off the ground.
Our best four riders, however, secured our four best results. Polka dots at the USA Cycling Challenge for Ole Haavardsholm. And victories- VICTORIES- for Songezo Jim at the Tour of The Middle East, Michael Torckler at La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, and a clutch of polka dots as well as victory at the Tour of Scotland for our Rider of The Year: Kim Magnusson.
All in all- 16th. It's been quite good, really.
