It is a really horrible game.
I repeat the game features (and keep in mind that this game has / had the official Tour de France-license!):
- 7 teams (= teams with real names)
- 15 riders (= riders with real names)
- 10 different stages (with just 1 of them looking like something real)
And these numbers are only as I recall them. I got the game here for PS2, but haven't played it ever since I bought it. |

15 riders in the world and one of them is Rik Verbrugghe. My god how the world changes
EDIT: I still can't believe I've been rickrolled

There were more than 10 stages (in the xBox version at least).
Bastide 1 and 2 (2 being reverse)
Countryside 1 and 2 (again, 2 being reverse)
Hilly 1 and 2 (try guess what the 2 is)
Some city looking race 1 and 2
One with two mountains 1 and 2
A single steep climb 1 and 2 (2 being a mean downhill)
Paris
+most likely one more with a reverse route. I cant remember the thread about the game so well anymore...
Thus totalling 13 stages (15 possibly)
Then again, that is the xBox version

Thanks, it brings make bad memories
I was best at the Coastline one, although the Countryside one was cool purely for the huge descent that I was good at crashing on

I believe that a new concept would be great for Cyanide.
Some of you have probably tried "Be a pro" at FIFA 08.
Sort of that type of game in PCM, like you can buy new packages.
If I were chief of the Cyanide, I would probably tried to make a PS3 and Xbox360 version of the game too. But that costs, and I don't think Cyanide have enough money to produce it.

New guy here...just reading this thread and quite frankly, I'm a bit perplexed. I know I know, none of my business, but I couldn't help myself.
First off, this Kadaffy guy is new......As far as I know, not too many of us are even able to play 08 yet, so how does this Kadaffy know how good the game is, or if it sucks? And if he's well versed in PCM, like already coming up with ideas for 09, wouldn't you think he would have been registered with PCM daily long ago?
Flat out there just isn't a realistic Bicycle racing game out there that matches PCM, and I'll defend it. I read posts here from some PCM Daily Heavy hitters, defending PCM.
None of you have to defend this game to some newbie who just came along and has all of these great ideas for 09. I think he's rtrying to get everyones goat.
I probably have it all wrong and should probably just shut up. But when I hear someone say PCM sucks...especially when that someone is talking about a version that isn't even out yet, your talking out the side of your.....well...you know.
And like I said....who else makes a more realistic Bike racing game? |

mee too, i acutally quite enjoyed that stage with the random island.
Think is with 'Tour de France' they always started me in 100th or something making it near impossible for me to win, ever. Same thing over and over.
PCM is a managment game and is much more fun, every stage feels different and rather than being the cyclists, i'm telling them what to do. I enjoy that.

It was actually possible to win the tour in "tour de france" I did it myself, when i was really bored. You had to get a lot of "rating points" and "stamina" Then you wouldn't start as 100th, but like 38th or 49th (tried to start as 20 something once).
But it was indeed a horrible game. But I do miss a game for a console, where you control one rider But we can do that in the track part in PCM this year |

From that 1st guys post im thinking what the hell is he on about
Its called PRO CYCLING MANAGER becasue:
pro = proffesional riders not made up ones
cycling = suggests controlling a group of cyclist
manager = i think a manager usually controls a whole team or this that just me
or else you may asweel call the game MADE UP CYCLIST MANAGER if that happens with making your own rider.
