Who would be the top non-American? That is what I meant.
Plus - Tottenham Rules, Fulham is horrible
Also, Dave92, I'm from Bethesda, you apparently are also from Maryland, what is the city? |

What do you think is the top nation in the world at the moment?
This is only about professionals, not amateur and recreational cycling, and also, I reiterate, this is for now, not in the history of cycling.
If I forget a major country, please remind me with a post.
you voted for the US too didnt you, thats 3 votes

I was gonna vote for the continent of Antarctica but they weren't up there and other is just to vague. One of the best riders came from Antarctica, Joe the Penguin.

Dave92 probably understands. I think most people know I voted for America. I was just joking.

Yeah, a little history lesson in history most idiotic americans don't know about (At yorktown the U.S. lines covered 3/4ths of the land, with the french taking about 1/4ths of the land and blockaded the sea). |

We have a great number 1 rider in Levi but to be honest I can't think of a number 2 rider that is any good other than Hincapie at cobbles and Zabriske out TTs.

Hincapie, Zabriskie, Pate
The US have some great riders, but we don't compare to the Europeans, they've been at it a lot longer than us. |

Yeah after I wrote it I edited once I remembered Hincapie and Zabriske but I wouldn't consider Pate a great rider. If you opened up a discusion of all time then America stands at least a small chance with Lemond, Armstrong, and Hampsted.

I think Hamilton had a chance to be great and maybe he could still be great today but he kind of screwed himself up by cheating.

Hamilton was for a point my favorite rider after his ride in Le Tour with the broken collarbone, but he was a cheat

Don't get me wrong he is one of the best attackers and unfortantly he never seems to get lucky but about the GC thing, I agree but GC still matters.

Even when Armstrong was there my favorite rider was usually Hincapie. I still like Hincapie but I aslo like Zabriske. I also like Freddy.
