I don't really get what is between you guys and flat stats. Yes, they are high, but all of riders have them high, so game don't fuck up. Cancellara still winning flat races, Cav and german are winning sprints, climbers are still climbers. What is wrong with it?
It's not the way the game is meant to be played, even cyanide themselves say it fucks up AI. It also makes no fucking sense that the flea-weight climbers should be flat beasts - the flat stat is there so that crap flat riders struggle and top motor men like Terpstra can excel, not to so that everyone is more or less the same. Cyanide gave us a range of 35, why only use ~15 of that? It'd make no sense if you did that with the mo stat - Vandembergh could fight for KoM, no one would ever be dropped, and it's basically the same with FL.
Oh, also, your pros starting stats arem't affected by this, climbers will still start with low 60s in FL and backup stats (which are all 70+ in FDB). Enjoy getting dropped all the damn time.
Cyanide sometimes are fucked up themselves.
For the other things, I know you don't like them, but why do you download the db?
For the moment we know that your own pro isn't affected by the stats. We are trying to fix that, but we don't know if it's possible.
Oh and we have reasons for that 70+ stat. First of all it's more realistic that more riders can follow when the peloton accelerates. In some old daily db's and other db's there were riders who couldn't follow the peloton when only 10 km were ridden.
Last season indeed there was a lot of 70+ rant and later on results were okay though.
But I still think that it`s not needed for following the peloton. I have seen sprints with a 55 flat rider being able to sprint for top10s in the Tour of Qatar even.
The 15 range only used but 35 range available fact, I am thinking is not ideal. All those mid 60 flat riders follow the peloton easily. Even on windy stages and 200km.

I've never, ever expirienced anything like that in my 2,5 years playing PCM. Maybe you get a different game than everyone else, or used a really weird db, but yeah.
Now leaving the fact that it completely fucks the game itself up aside, I still don't see why you ever saw the need to change a FL that worked perfectly fine in to a stat that's useless. You basically gave yourself one less stat to work with, which given the fact that there aren't many stats to begin with just seems completely pointless.

Yeah for sure it gives realistic results. It doesn't really matter if you use our matrix or the one by Cyanide. Both will give nice results which look realistic. So I actually don't know why Our db should suck more then the one by cyanide or daily or whatever db. Oh and I also don't do stats
For me personally: I like our db and I think it's not more bad or less bad then your db.
Actually this is just a shitty non discussion
Oh BTW. Did You find other bugs place them here, so that we can solve them

This actually is not correct.
Result wise this might be correct as flat is usually not as big of an issue as mountain, hill, sprint.
But it becomes an issue elsewhere. The higher OVL stat due to it changes some hardcoded things...things like contracts, wages, transfers and most likely a bit breakaway AI as well.
The matrix you guys use may provide us with realistic looking results, but have you ever tested the long term concequences?
I'm afraid the matrix you guys use could depreciate a lot of riders like L.Y. Bak, A. Grivko and M. Bodnar, who are pure powerhouses for flat races, not much more. In the normal cya db they get fairly high avg ratings because of their high flat in relation to others.
Your db might make them less valuable then they are, causing teams to drop them and sign more superstars instead which would unbalance the game within a few years time...
Not to mention the in race AI, After the game possibly has been unbalanced I guess the AI in races would do more silly things as well, even more than normal...
Just wondering if you guys have ever tested the game's progression with your matrix, and if you have proof I'm horribly wrong...

This database works and is really good, i think the best of the moment. I have just mentionned what is not working and have deleted sponsors not ready for the moment and the mistakes.
Good work ! Thanks a lot !
