actually now i've seen the startlist i think Leipheimer should at least get a podium with the team he has behind him (Contador, Danielson, Hincapie, Martinez, Noval, Paulinho, Vaitkus) probably the best team in the field

And with his win last year, he's got the experience |

according to his quote on cyclingnews, he's got the experience to know that he must hold back this year so as not to burn himself out for the Tour (sorry to insist on the same topic, but it's the only quote I've seen of him about the Dauphiné)

Danielson deserves a wn after his preformance for the team and Levi in the tour of CA and his loss of the oprotunity at Georgia. Levi says that he is not really going for the win but to prepare for the Tour. |

I'll refrain from predictions (on the other thread), so that I can avoid looking like a fool
I would like to make one, though:
Zabriskie was at the Giro. doing the full giro if you weren't in bad form going into it usually means you're in great form for early June (and crap for JUly).
so I'm thinking he wins the longer TT.
there's also another reason for this.
his strong point is keeping a high rhythm for a long time (yes, I know that's vague), but he takes that a bit to the extreme. what I mean is that the perfect TT for him would be a not necessarily flat TT, but the essential thing is that there are no sharp turns.
this year's TT course I believe is the same as last year...which was fairly straight and fast.
but I guess we'll see on wednesday

long time trials that are not very technical work well with Zabriskie. He likes his hills but technical TT's he has not excelled at this year. He is a rider to look out for. |

Well, that's what makes me confused. According to the site, it starts at 4:25 pm GMT+1 (so that's 3:25 for you Brits, right?)
Edit: Okay, fine, we agree now

calling me a Brit? what an insult!
I suppose I should go get a "Lager", then, eh?
there's nothing quite like stereotypes
