It's great to see you back here. The MG had long awaited your return. Reasons like these, in my opinion, are very valid, and despite not having gone through situations like these I know how much worse feelings can affect your hobbies and personal life. It's good to see you got over these, as it's definitely not easy.
Thank you and it's good to know you don't have experiences with it
Yeah it's weird, sometimes the first things you abandon when you're feeling bad are the things that usually kept you occupated and that you enjoyed doing...

but I still hope you'll accept me back.
Oh are you kidding. We happily will, obviously we missed you
Great to see you back!
I know how you feel though, to some extent, I've been through a period like that a while ago too, but probably not as dramatic as yours, though.
Secretly had some hope that you'd be back when the cycling season arrives. And alright there you are
There's just one con. I was already dreaming about having Kelderman in my MG team

Welcome back. Times like that is always tough. I had a total reset myself a few years ago so knows and understands the basic part of what you've gone through - and how hard it can be to go back and tell about it...

Dunno if my situation was dramatic in comparison to what others have to deal with (I'm actually pretty sure it wasn't)...but it was enough for me to have effects.
Yeah as I said seeing cycling on the TV again helped a lot in making this decision. Sadly the whole situation started right when the season ended, if there was the spring classics or a GT on the TV while I went through the bad times, I certainly would've been here for that or maybe never left.
Sorry about Wilco, but you never know
I have no idea at all how to approach the ManGame again now, it really wasn't on my mind at all since maybe November.
I am secretly happy I managed that as it really was an obsession, probably to compensate for the RL "planning" that didn't work out my way or that I didn't have as much control over as I did over MG planning.
I am far from having OCD or something, but the organized way the MG runs and the way you can predice the future of riders and whole teams gave me a security and a planning certainty that I lacked elsewhere which got me seriously addicted.
Don't get me wrong, it is a great way to have fun, but if it becomes your justification in a way of "well life's shit but at least I slay everyone in the ManGame" and "well I don't know where I will be in life in one or two years, but I know where Puma will be in 2019", it's not a good thing.

Great to have you back, allthough it does make my promotion battle a bit more nerve wracking, knowing there's a disbandment less.
But yeah, I can only second what everyone else has been saying - RL should always have priority over Daily, but still nice to see you back, and good to hear you're feeling allright again.

Hell yeah. Welcome back!
Cool to see you're feeling good (again) and I really hope that it stays like that for the future.
Should your return turn out as the reason for not promoting myself in MG then I happily take this. It would have been a shame to see you & your team disbanding!
Spoiler In case I am allowed to continue, I actually think it's better to have slightly weaker riders.
I'll offer myself to take your riders then.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Thanks for your selfless take on this
Spoiler You know I'd love to see some riders that aren't of use for me anymore at your team, maybe the criteria who's of use will change now

Great to see you're back!
I know how hard it is to get back to something after a long(ish) absence from something. A few years ago (before I signed up here) I had Pfeiffer's disease and couldn't go to school for about a month or two, however I didn't go to school for six/seven months just because I was sort of scared for it.

Health and Family come way before PCM. So glad you are in a better place that is what really matters. I am also very happy that being in a better place has allowed you to return to the ManGame.
You were missed, because you were a major contributor to this hobby we all love.
I for one just want you to be allowed to move forward again in life and in the Man-Game.
Now if you really still feel awfully guilty, you could sent me a couple of good riders to help AMEXpc get to the top of the PCT next year. We are willing to under pay to help soothe your guilt <grinning wildly>.
Really glad you are back!

Welcome back cio!
I think we all can agree on that life comes before everything on the internet, even pcmdaily
I like the teamyou have built, and glad to not see it disband, but its [img][/img]much more important as you say, to enjoy life and have mangame as a "fun sidehobby" to "waste" some time with

I hope you feel generally better and we can have some nice MG discussion going. You missed the great Metinvest summer run, we are closing to top15 now, so watch out!

Welcome back. I wasn't quite active in the parts of the forum, where you were, but I can understand you. And there is no problem if someone has to put daily to rest for a time. For me it feels, like daily is some kind of weird family. No matter how long you are away, you will be welcomed back.
And if I learned sonething in the past 2 years it is that nothing happens like it should. I dont know how old you are or what your problems were(somehow my phone didnt want to open page 2...if you have written something there i wasnt able to see it.), but life is always like a rollercoaster. Ups and Downs everywhere. I am happy that you have found your way back here. More germans. He he he...

Welcome back mate. It is really good to see that you are atleast alright, which was a real concern to me - And others I think.
It is really healthy to take a step back from everything at some point in your life, to look at things from a distance, think about what needs to be a big part of your life and how you want to live it. I know the feeling, and absolutely knows how specific things can swallow you up, in such a way that you really don't have any clue what is wrong, besides that you don't feel right/happy or whatever word you want to put on it. In my own life it was a combination of working A LOT, and spending all my sparetime on games and websites, which I kinda felt was work aswell. I told myself that I enjoyed it, and that it was my own decision to spend the time on it, and I relaxed and felt good doing so - But in fact I discovered that my life was much better when I had days where the PC wasn't turned on at all, where a walk around the block, a bit of biking, playing a round of golf or something like that made me much more aware of my surroundings, my feelings and what I wanted to spend my life with.
After breaking down twice in a year, I pulled the plug from my life, quit my job, shut down the PC and cancelled everything having only myself and my girlfriend left, and then starting to rebuild what I wanted to have in my life. That was a really helpful period in my life, where I started prioritizing my aspects of life, from the very basic stuff like when to eat, how many times, what to eat, when to sleep, how much sleep, what amount of physical activity and stuff like that I needed.
So going from a life where I though my priorities was good, and I chased a big job, big wages and a "perfect life", I now have a priority list that is:
1. My girlfriend
2. My family (Not many, but the closest)
3. My friends (Not many, but the closest)
4. Having the absolute basic things - A shelter, food, a good bed and stuff like that.
5. Space and time to be myself, walk, run, bike, play golf.
Everything after that I could cut from my life, and feel happy. I didn't need a car, I didn't need a job, I didn't need a big house - I didn't need it. I chose whether or not I wanted it. I decided... It didn't.
I missed having you here, and I'm glad to see you online again. But more so, I'm glad that you have found your way, and took the time of you needed to find out what you want, and how you want it.

Well, SotD pretty much summed up (in much more words) what I was going to say - that first and foremost, I suspect a lot more of the members here can relate and understand what you went through to a degree.
Having been through a pretty dark place recently myself - and feeling like the last thing I wanted to do was invest in more computer activity - it's sometimes easy to remove what was enjoyable about computer (man game, etc, etc) in amongst everything in an attempt to figure out which part is the horrible part. Once you've found that out, you can add back the bits you enjoy.
Glad to see you return.
