Doesn't seem likei t.
You could try the following:
- Make a backup of your save game
- Uninstall PCM
- Install PCM
- Apply patch 1.0.0.8
- Install GCT 2007
- Install GCT Update
- Place your save game back up in the directory again
If it still doesn't work, give up. |

but I agree. can't for the life of me realise what he's doing wrong  if he's doing anything wrong, which might not be the case at all.

Hi guys,
I have a problem:
My game crashes everytime I start the game and click the single player button. It didn't happen in the past, but now it does. I'm using PPDB Giant Silver Beta 06, but I don't think It has any influence on my problem. |

why the hell aren't you using PPDB 2007 v2, it is awesome, it has so many features

if you don't like it (can't see a reason why anyone wouldn't) then
- uninstall PCM
- Re-install it
- Install patch v1.0.0.8
- Install PPDB Giant 2006
- Install all fixes
but as i say, use the 2007 v2 it is the best db you'll every play with and may never buy PCM2007
EDIT: just thought, are you playing with PCM2006 or PCM2007? (the newest one),
the PPDB 2006/2007 db's are both for PCM2006 if you are trying to use these db's with PCM2007 then it will not work (I know you've posted this in the 2006 section, but some people don't realise they are in the wrong bit sometimes)

I didn't asked for the best DB, I asked for help what to do If I start the game and in main menu I click the single player button. Then my game crashes. I play with PPDB Giant Siver 06 for several months and It never happened before. |

ok well in that case it souds like a corrupt save game, have you made any back-ups at all?

I don't think it is caused by corrupt save game, bacause it crashes when I click the SINGLE PLAYER button. I can't even start a new game. |

Definitely sounds like a corrupt save game.
Go to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/Database/Solo/YourDB. Here's the list of your save games. There's also some extra files with a ~ behind the file name. That's the automatically generated back up. Try to remove your save game (f.e Game_001.cdb) and rename the file with a ~ behind it (f.e Game_001.cdb~) to the name of the file you have just deleted. Now, the game uses the automatically generated save game. If it still doesn't work, well, too bad. Game over. |

done some research and i'm pretty sure it is a save game problem so:
- firstly Delete all .cdi files located in C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006\Database\Solo\OfficialRelease
(temporary save)
- secondly delete in the same directory any .cdb file which size is 0kb (corrupted save)
EDIT: damn it Crue i just needed a couple more seconds

well,
You maybe don't understand me. I run the game. I'm in Main Menu. In front of me, there are five buttons: SINGLE PLAYER, MULTI PLAYER, OPTIONS, CREDITS and EXIT. I click SINGLE PLAYER, then the game crashes. It goes back to desktop. If it was by save game, then the game would normally go to single player menu. There would be few options: new game, load saved game, career, stage race, etc.
Then I would try to load my saved game and then the game would crash. But I can't even get to single player menu. It isn't caused by corrupted save game. |

Did you try what we said?
The game crashes when clicking Single Player if the save game is corrupted. Yes, I know it sounds weird, but that's Cyanide logic. Now, go ahead and try what we said. |
