Viking Cycling Team - How the Team was Re-Launched

Hello excited fans, despite last year's unfortunate fall through with our main sponsors, Spotify, we have found new sponsors, Norwegian IT Company, Atea and airBaltic, both signing with us for a year! We are also happy to announce new equipment sponsors, Specialized providing our athletes with frames this year, Cervélo unhappy with the fall-through of the team last year and therefore deciding not to sponsor us for 2015. Happily, we maintain contracts with the rest of last year's planned equipment sponsors. Wheels will be provided by Zipp, Groupset provided by SRAM, and Helmets provided by KASK.

In other news:


For 2015, our number of staff has almost doubled! Most notably, we welcome Tom Greenway as head physio, former Chelsea F.C. head physio and David Millar as head coach.

Unfortunately, we will not field the same team as was planned last year, some riders unhappy about the team falling through before the season even began last year, others retiring from the sport after the project was cancelled, for example, last year's planned team captain, David Millar, retired but will still be part of the team as head coach.

Our sponsors, Arie and airBaltic have agreed that the team will be based around the same countries as the last year. To remind you:
