The first GC stage was a massive failure for the Stobart guys , but at least Appleby has moved up to 21st now |

We got 4 riders in the leading group so hopefully one of them can kick on and gain some time in a future stage. I would have thought Schurter would have done better on the descent, hopefully he can make better use of his skills there on another stage.

2 in the stage top 10 and Schurter moving up to 8th on GC is better. With Alizadeh beingthe other one in the stage top 10 he's shown he's got some form so hopefully he can use that for a good mountain TT despite his weakness against the clock.

A decent stage with Moinard not losing much time finishing 7th. Fernandez also showing good form. Hopefully we can hold onto our good GC positions or improve on them in the final stage.

These have been some great reports! Thanks Rider!
Nice to see my team very active in its home race. Rangel is a very good sprinter on CT level with a fairly good hill/mountain stat. Maybe, just maybe he can be in it on the final stage. I think he's been really unlucky not to get a win.
The mountain TT tomorrow will be very interesting to watch. I'm not sure who to pick as a winner. Hopefully our youngster, Louis, can make his way to a featured result.

Great win for Jose, looking good in the GC now. Really enjoyed the report The Rider, thanks for that.

Well, that was in style. Great ride by Mendes, though i'm rather surprised to see a less aggressive race by some more GC-contenders there. Had expected a way more splitted bunch on that hilly circuit. Anyway, entertaining stuff form those leading group there, good report as well.

Didn't come on here the last few days, sorry about that, but I just read through the reports.
Stages 1 & 2 -- We're not a sprinting team, so Clavero is placing around 10th as always. Whatever.
Stage 3 -- Initially I thought Rosskopf might lose time, but downhill finish helped. It's allright to stay in the large group, didn't expect him to make a move there
And what a stage 4. Given the field I'm more than happy to grab 2nd place on the stage and, for now, the GC. I didn't expected this actually, so let's keep it going...looking forward to the TT!

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

I can say I did not expect 6 in the first 20 of a TT. The only poor one wwas the best placed GC rider. Jeannesson 2nd is very good, Colorado was unexpected and Adamou performing well in his discipline. Also nice results from Menchov, Duenas and Fernandez.

Schurter lost time but holds on to 8th on GC. I knew he'd struggle abit so it's good to see it hadn't cost him any places on GC. And that was a good performance in the TT by my squad, especially Jiriakov who managed to get into the top 5 on the stage and placing 3 in the top 15 is always good.

Euskaltel enjoying their time in the mountains!
Nice ride by Louis to finish in the top 20, this means he'll grab a few points in the overall GC (if he doesn't lose time on the last stage) and 3rd in best young rider. Meanwhile, Rangel wins the best sprinter-climber award by finishing 25th in a mountains TT Hopefully he can get some points on this last stage to win the points classification.
It's really cool to see these routes. I've ridden most of them. The MTT is up Signal Hill, which will give an awesome view of Cape Town. I've ridden on the other stages around Paarl/Stellenbosch/Weelington. I'll also be riding on them when I do the Tour de Boland next year!

That was a good stage for Euskaltel with the time trial, pity they didn-t claim the stage win though |

Solid performance by Kulhavi here, yet another podium in this race! Now we have 2 guys in the top 10 in GC which im very pleased about now only if Schachman could hold into his Points lead would be great!

Disappointed that Ito only got last out of the break. Also disappointed that Peilun Wu didn't finish in the main field.
Poorseyedi dropped some spots in the GC. So this last stage makes our appaerence in South Africa even worse.
Thanks for the great reports The Rider. |

Very happy with Mendes GC win, now to do the same in Guatemala. Thanks for the reports and the good pace, The Rider.

Looks like we stole the teams classification by 1 second thanks to Pranata's break on the final stage, glad Schurter managed to hold on to his GC top10.
Thanks for the reports The Rider

Yet another former rider taking a win. Congrats to Nutresa.
And Schachmann. What a race he had.
Next year he should be a good domestique no matter what division I am. |

Yes enjoyed the reports throughout, Mendes struck as he should be but behind it was quite a struggle for places.
