Awesome win for Hornbach, Eichler was one of pre season domestiques I targeted, glad he found another great team and should keep yellow for few days now.

Well, that's what happens if the chasing has to be done by a team with a GC guy, and a CT team with only 5 men on their roster...

Interesting 1st stage. Like several earlier races without a large talent pool in the peloton to reel in the break, we could have another win out of a breakaway tomorrow.
AMEXpc would love to see Jan Dieteren in the break he is a solid downhiller and could use that to his advantage.
I expect there will be lots of riders vying to get in tomorrow's break.

Oh come on, not the inactive team that needs exactly this kind of luck to ever get back ahead of me.

..and when they allow a rider to attack rather late into the stage
Btw: Will post another stage later, so stay tuned this evening.

I like this breakaway victory. Eichler is exactly the type of rider who should be able to pull this off.

1 Guy leading Ulanowski isn't enough... Needed either Vorganov or Sinclair there...

Manfred doing nicely from the breaks.
I also note that a certain T Newton has picked up his first ranking points of the season from the post-stage KoM classifications!

Shitty first stage for Metinvest, but in second one it got much better, as Grosu grabbed decent 5th place. I hope he will be in contention in the third stage too, hopefully the race will not be super hard and he can fight for podium. If it is harder, Popkov can have a chance.
Thanks for the nice reports Tsmoha and congrats to the winners!

No gaps, Nikolaev trying something in the sprint and Topchanyuk in the top 30, perfect scenario for my team.

Yay, disbanding team taking massive points in a C1 race with a weak team.

Avin is happy with 2nd place for this time, but of course it is a bit bitter.
Anyway, finally a result to cheer for even when it is not win. Grosu again saving the day after his win (our only one this year) in Vancouver. He is certainly the future of my team
Popkov is active too, so maybe he will try something in next two stages.
Thanks for the report Tsmoha.

Nice try by Weening, Dowsett and Skujins! Shame the route wasn't hard enough. This will be different in stage 5 though; hope to see them active there as well.
Impressive how Hornbach controlled the stage and then dominated the sprint.

The question is, is next year the future already?

Well, Grosu (and Zmorka) will most likely need some PT loan next year, so our future with them in leading roles should start in season 2016. I hope Demare will be be out of PCT in that time. And Metinvest not in CT
