When the first break is wheeled in, Sagan is the first to attack solo. That makes no sense. He should try to join breaks and not spark them. It's a waste of energy. |

Seems like Elmiger, Delaplace and Lemoine have gone away. I expected much bigger group. Lemoine the ex KOM jersey wearer and Elmiger seem vastly superior to Delaplace. |

I expected much bigger group that just 3 riders. Oh well, I guess it's Sagan to lose now... |

Yes, looking more likely Cannondale can control those 3. |

Seems like the finale will be a mix of GC riders and a few Sagan types attacking over the climbs.

Run in description courtesy of Inrng:
"...an unmarked climb after the four...after the Côte d’Échallon the road plunges onto a narrow, shaded and rough road complete with potholes, gravel and running water streaming over the road. The road quickly kicks up and it’s very narrow, shaded by trees, covered in gravel and steep in places - 1.8km at 7% but hits 12%...a nasty surprise for some."
Sounds like fun, hopefully good safe fun. |

You should probably try to contact Sagan and get the job as his race tactician with those kind of great advices.
Sucha small break, maybe somebody will jump in later? This outcome seems good for punchy types in peloton.

I just read the rest day interview with Leo König and he claims that he still have hopes for top10 in Paris and that he should be among the very best in Alps and Pyrenees mountain stages. Hopefully his confidence will be seen in results. Go Leo!

Machado was looking like an equally good if not better option for Net App until the crash but good performance from Konig on Belles Filles. Hopefully he can pull something out for them. |

Didn't really go for the sprint, reserving energy so he doesn't come second. |
