Back On Track
European Track Championships, Apeldoorn, Netherlands
With the total collapse of the Accent Jobs Wanty team this season I have decide to leave the road for the last part of the season. Instead I have returned to the track to regain my form and to improve my ability in the hands of the Team GB coaching staff. Although I'm disappointed not to be racing on the roads for the rest of the year, I pleased to be preparing for my new team next season CCC Polsat Polkowice.
I have focused on improving my time trial, prologue, my acceleration and speed as well as emphasis on recovery and stamina as I feel these are areas I have great potential. I feel this will help me to preform my role at CCC and make myself worthy of the contract they have given me.
I had the opportunity to race the Scratch Race at the Euro Champs for the GB squad this year and I came in with the bronze medal. Something to cheer about this season.
If you thought I disappeared I haven't, I plan to come back stronger and I'm ready to ride for CCC in 2014!

CCC Transfer Season
Hello
As we've received a yet unknown Transfer Restriction, we will try to resign contracts with our current riders, their are of course a few that will not get their contract extended, in order to give room for new signings. We have some riders in close in our scope and our only priorities is to get Lieutenants for our news captains, and get a new Sprinter as replacement to Abasi Abundi, which leaves the team at the season End
With this we would just like to say thanks for the good cooperation Abasi has given us and we can only wish him the best in the future, even though we will most likely encounter him a few times. Fear not our goal is still to make Cycling a bigger sport in Poland, and with guys like Majka and Kwiatkowski showing great potential, makes that dream a little more clear.
Overall we won't have anything to sell out this Transfer Season and weakening the tema for no reason is not an option, so we hope that our new signings will do well and that their growth will give more room for us to live out our dreams.

Goal
Top 3
We came into this race with great expectations and our goal was a Top 3 finish. The chances were really low and we could only hope for the best
Honkisz attacks
Honkisz was our best card of the day and there fore it was good to see him in action
Honkisz shows his skills and attacks with 25 km left
But Wallays gets in the way for a well deserved victory, that should have been Adrians, Adrian ends at the 2nd place and secures our goal
Rank | Name | Team | Time | 1 | Jelle Wallays | Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise | 4h22'23 | 2 | Adrian Honkisz | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. | 3 | André Greipel | Lotto Belisol | s.t. | 4 | Gert Joeaar | Cofidis, Solutions Crédits | s.t. | 5 | Jean-Marc Bideau | Bretagne - Séché Environnement | s.t. | 6 | Niki Terpstra | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 7 | Gianni Meersman | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 8 | Rob Ruijgh | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 9 | Sébastien Delfosse | Crelan - Euphony | s.t. | 10 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky Procycling | s.t. | 24 | Mateusz Nowak | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. | 42 | Marek Rutkiewicz | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. | 59 | Tomasz Kiendyś | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. | 72 | Adrian Kurek | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. | 87 | Grzegorz Stepniak | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. | 90 | Josef Cerny | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | s.t. |
Goal
Top 5 Points Classification
This would be Abasi Abundi's first race for us and we had high expectations, but a certain guy outperformed the others
Abundi takes 2nd place and a Podium on the first stage
Abundi disapoints with a 9th place on the 2nd stage
Abundi surprises everyone with a 3rd place on a hilly sprint
Abundi barely secures 5th place after a dreadful finish
1 | Adrien Hanzen | Sky Procycling | 90 | 2 | Gerald Ciolek | MTN - Qhubeka | 68 | 3 | Alessandro Petacchi | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | 62 | 4 | Adrien Petit | Cofidis, Solutions Crédits | 51 | 5 | Abasi Abundi | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | 47 |
Goal
Stage win
Our Home Country race is always the most important part of our calendar and we belived that a Stage win would be possible
After some unlucky attempts, Rebellin finally manages to get in a good position on the 2nd last stage
And Rebellin says goodbye with style and secures our Hard Goal!
This was our completion of 3 goals, 1 Easy, 1 Medium and 1 Hard goal has been achieved!

Welcome to Britain
Our goal was to show our jersey in both sprints and with riders in the breakaway, but it became clear pretty early that Abundi's chances would degrade if we wasted time on the KoM competition
Where were our jersey the first 6 days? Well we were caught in the back and Abundi couldn't keep the pace with the difficult terrain and the high percents involved with the climbs
But in the last two stages we got enough TV Time to fill a whole race of this size and we'll let you enjoy the following highlights
We're splitting the pack into atoms and only we and Sky have all riders safe in front. 42 riders including our own are the only ones capable of keeping up
We were able to form a leadout train for Abundi and in the end the pre work couln't have been better
Abundi was close!
Stage

Once again our pace was too high for the rest and this time only 30 riders survive! Riders like Wiggins, Jungels and Millar can't follow, which describes what pace we're setting
Bardiani have survived our efforts and our men wasn't superior to their train today
As Abundi opened to early and even Ulissi manages to pass him, this haven't been Abundi's season and a replacement is in the cards next season

A lot of the riders at our lineup still had a huge question mark over their heads and this race would be vital for those who wish to stay. The first 6 stages are questionable enough to say that the team showed great teamwork around their captain and in overall they did that with sparing as much energy as humanly possible
Mihaylov showed great leader skills in the sprints and Rutkiewicz willingly downgraded himself to chaser, and in that role he performed greatly and showed that in his current form Poland can be worthy of having him on their team. He closed the gap to the breaks quickly and almost painfully, that he is worthy of being mentioned as our best rider
Cerny and Gawronski have been underrated all season and especially Cerny showed a strong performance with tearing the pack apart I wouln't be lying if those two are the most likely to not have their contracts extented

Gold & World Championship selection
Track World Cup Round One, Cali, Colombia
Hard work paying off
At the start of the season I honestly didn't see this coming. I coaches at Team GB were excited at my progress throughout the summer and gave me a shot at the UCI Track World Cup in Colombia. I took part in the scratch... and came away with Gold! A late attack caught everyone off guard in the last two laps. Doull came in second to complete a great 1-2 for Team GB. This will be my last involvement for Team GB on the track this season however...
World Championships
I will be representing them on the Road! It's my first outing on the road since signing for CCC. The Lampre boss who is overseeing the GB squad just had recent success in Britain himself winning the 10th Tour of Britain with Italian Diego Ullisi. Let's hope he can work more magic. I find myself in a support role, we are hoping that Shindigs Hanzen can survive the hills of the Worlds course, he's in great form, we've seen him out sprint Griepel in Belgium and took 2nd GC in ToB to show he's got more than flat speed. It's always a sense of feeling to wear the white, red and blue jersey again and hopefully I can help create more success, this time on the road.

Good luck to you then, as manager for Poland you are welcome to drop by and say hello Other than that we'll see you on our Training camp in November
@all : I recommend that you'll use the break to find out which CT Races you want to participate in and then come back with your wishes, so I can start planning before the season starts and possibly see which new signings is needed

Today we mark a special day in the whole history of CCC's journey through the professional world of cycling. It's time we say goodbye to something precious and it has been hard to say goodbye to it, after 5 years of planning and so forth we finally can announce this.
In the past 4 ½ years the construction of a building in the town of Savona, Italy has been under way and today we are pleased to announce, that we've been behind the whole thing and that this will be our Headquarters from this day. This also means we will say goodbye to our roots in Gdansk and our current Facility will from this day be owned by our Youth Programme.
The main reason for this is simple, we have expectations that our current conditions wouln't be able to offer and we think it's about time that we get a more modern perspective on things, should make our future better and stronger. As for the more hidden reasons, we thought that the regional possibilities in Poland isn't great for our upcoming team, which we knew would rather gain experience from the more hilly and mountainious terrain Italy has to offer.
Savona
is a seaport and comune in the northern Italian region of Liguria, capital of the Province of Savona, in the Riviera di Ponente on the Mediterranean Sea.
The city lies 150 km from San Remo and close to the border of France and Monaco. The city is surrounded by hills and mountains in various sizes and it should be a good place for our riders to evolve and the personal possibilities for a professional cyclist couldn't be better.
Here on the site you will in the coming time see reports from China and Japan, but other than that you will get reports from our upcoming Training camp on Madeira, where our new signings will join for their introduction of the team.
But to stay on topic, we will in the Season Break plan out a race, as we want to celebrate our new home and you'll get more information in a couple of weeks.

Reportage from cykelmagasinet.dk
Rebellin : Perhaps I'm the best ever
Davide Rebellin has been in the game for for decades. He has won everything worth winning in Hilly Terrain - But is he the best Italian ever?
Davide Rebellin is something for him self, which he has proven over his more than 20 year long career, but should you name the best italian cyclist throughout history, then he wouldn't be the first to come into people's minds. Nothing less the 43 year old Italian belives that he is a strong candidate for that :
"Can man say that I'm the best Azzurri (Italian) in the world? Yes, Perhaps! Because I have ridden the biggest and most demanding races for so long", said the former Ardennes King to Gazzeto Della Sport.
But Rebellin has shown that age is only a number and not something you should dictate from :
I'm feeling great, I'm in good shape! I feel teen years younger...We often talk about young cyclists, but I think that I'm a good example of being an athlete and still being able to get a few wins in an age of 43!

CCC in Asia
Welcome to Asia
We're racing 3 races here and this means that the season are about to end, ever since we got a new owner the season has been going into a better direction and as the Manager of the team, I would like a last time time to thank Davide Rebellin for his work here and that we're gratefull that we can say goodbye properly, or do we?
You heard right, the fact is that Davide Rebellin isn't leaving the team just yet, as he have signed as Sports Director for the next season. This also means that I will be downgraded to Sports Director too and I'll be joining Gabrielle, who also have extended his contract. Our new owner has used the last months to create an better understanding of his investment and he'll be joining the Management Team as General Manager next season.
But back to why I'm here, We're participating in Japan Cup , Tour of Beijing and Tour of Hainan. We also have two last goals to complete, which is a Stage win in Hainan and a podium in Japan.
Full Reports of the team's performaces will be posted , as soon as the races are completed. Gabrielle will be our man to lead us through the Transfer Season, where our main goal is to find a replacement for Abasi Abundi.

Hello
In the case you wondering why you haven't heard from me is because I prefer to be anonymous, when it comes to the public. My name is Michal Petrik and I have been the Assisting Sports Director for 5 years now, but this is about to end. I have been given the honor of presenting next years two NC's for our team, all belongs to the new signings in Albert Llanet and Johann Nokkvason.
My spot will be taken by Piotr Wadecki instead of Krzystof, who will continue being the General Manager for the next season

You might want to post those good looking jerseys in the National Championships thread, so Atlantius can easily spot them.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Hello to the world of CCC,
I speak to you as I prepare to head home for a winter of hard training, after the completion of my final race for the team, and I would just like to say how honoured I am that CCC took the chance on me to sign me and allow me to lead the team in some prestigious races.
To be honest I feel I haven't performed to the best of my abilities, as the team management deserved a reward for their confidence in me. However I am glad to say I finally delivered in my final race with the team, the Tour of Hainan.
The stage was a very proud result for me and will remain a vivid memory for the rest of my life. The team set me up perfectly for the sprint and for the first time I did everything right and was able to get the sprint for the line. This week I have been feeling a lot better, so I decided to go for some intermediate sprints, however today I wanted to focus completely on the stage win, as I have heard my critics say that I should be performing better, and the fact I hadn't got a win had let the team down, but I wanted to prevent them from saying that anymore, and I think I shut them up.
I'm sad to leave CCC, however my home team is calling and I know that they are the team for me, to be honest I have felt a bit isolated this past few months, but the management have done everything they can to help me, but I never quite fitted in.
I'd just like to say that CCC is one of the best teams in the world, and any rider contacted to ride for them is very lucky to do so, but I know that the offer from MTN was just to good to turn down.
So thank you and good luck for the future,
Abasi Abundi,
Prince of Nigeria,
Winner of A Stage at The Tour of Hainan.

"CCC says goodbye for now
The first season with the EPIC Union in charge have gotten us very far and also our competitors have found something to take on with them to the break of the 2013 season. This season has been extraordinary in many ways and even though we only got 1 stage win, we've found something to smile about anyway
In a way to honor the first season with EPIC in charge, we've signed 6 new riders already and these guys comes from various families and cultures, but anyway we think that there should be no boundaries between two different type of people and that is something we will take with us next year
After a few weeks in Asia, we've come back to our new HQ in Savona and here we will over the next months, try to find new things to hold close to and hopefully you'll see a completely different team there too. We will also soon go to our annual Training Camp in Madeira and we will keep you updated with our progress there during the break, Now our coming Sports Director Davide Rebellin has a few words
Hello
I've been giving a chance to say goodbye to my professional career, which started 23 years ago, in a proper way and I've managed to do it with dear friends. I don't really have a lot of words to explain how much I've enjoyed the last few years and I've tried to be a competitive as possible, even though it's cost me dearly
Now I'll get some time to relax and I can finally work behind the scenes, which is something I've never thought possible, but I can feel it to be time to say that I've earned it. You'll see a lot of changes over the winter and even though we'll have a transfer restriction, we still have some riders that would make our project a lot easier and more successful.

I returned to the roads to finish of my season. I took part in the U23 Road Race. Hanzen was able to take 4th in the final. It's a shame the podium was just a bit out of reach for him.
The race was a real shock to the system, I tried to participate in the race but was left straggling towards the back. Hopefully a good block of training will help me to get my legs back for the longer distance.
I am finally able to make the switch from Accent Jobs to CCC now we are into off season and I would like to reiterate how happy I am with the switch and look forward to getting started.
