Solid performance. Last season Thomas was much more aggressive but is now sitting back and using the sprint. It's different but it's working well enough. Just hope Grashev can provide a bit more support late into the race in future. Hit my expectation so good race. Now onwards in search of that win.

The cobbled classics in PCT are proving quite interesting so far, with a spread of top results. Enjoy it guys, because Bakari will be back on the cobbles soon!
Impressive by Breschel to come back so strongly considering his crash.
Nice reporting code!

Mehh Machado isn't good enough but we knew that before the season started only 5 place of the goal of a top 15 though isn't too bad. |

Bad luck for AMEX.
Matti Breschel showed that he is now a PCT level contender, even having to battle back from a crash. Our hope of two in the top 10 imploded when Breschel hit the pavement. Bernhard Eisel did all the work to help him back and he blew up finishing out of the top 20.
All in all an impressive placing for Breschel and a very good sign that Eisel will embrace the #2 role when needed.

Another enjoyable race from the PCT cobbles - Nuyens was really underwhelming in the cobbled race I reported on in Ethopia. He seems to have shaken that out of his legs and timed his move really well here.
Hornbach were really strong here but Franzoi didn't quite do it for them, QStep may just be happy for a change too

That was awesome! The sponsors are very happy with this cobble win in our home country.
Steegmans attack seemed a bit useless, but in hindsight it helped keep the pace high so that by the time Nuyens and four others attacked, there were no domestiques able to control them left. Small groups like that are Nuyens' best chance and his sprint was impressive. Also good job by Steegmans to still finish top 15.
Nice report!

Thanks for all the kind words.
Indeed it was an exciting race -- perhaps what did it for the lead group was that after Gr. Nuyens attacked, the entire Hornbach team blocked the road, which was quite funny. Would have taken a pic of that had there not been a car running through the field.
