I don't think he was ever given a good opportunity with Disco. I'll even throw out the conspiracy that LA held him up a bit because he knew that TD could out climb him (and I'm a LA fan), and was showing tremendous improvement in TT. His biggest knock has always been peloton presence.
He only has 2006 Vuelta for me..I know that Lance years ago..wanted him to be like mini me..didnt work out. Sry about Danielson last year..that was TdF debut year wich didnt work out.
Slipstream need GC rider..at least I would give him chance...there is time for him show something.
TD has done quite well in the Vuelta. 2 top 10 (7 in 2005, 6 in 2006) plus a stage win. Last year was a write off due to the double intestinal viruses he had.
It seems to me that he could've easily stepped into the Landis role for Armstrong's last win in 2005, but for some reason he was left off the team. Then in 2006 (argueably his best year) when Disco was looking for a defacto leader for the TDF he was left off again. If you listen or read some off his recent interviews he seems happy to be out of the Disco shadow. |

You probably right...the bigest Disco mystake was 2006 tour (Vuelta was much better). Why they was playing that way...going to the tour with nr. 1jersey and no race.
Bruyneel-Salieri logic..if I dont win I dont play.

Cipollini is confirmed in the Rock Racing squad
Well, I suppose we shouldn't "expect" anything until the race has actually started. After all, their initial line-up also had Sevilla, Hamilton and Botero in it |

Rock Racing already has a lot of riders who doped. For example Tyler Hamilton |

Cancellara is a beast, almost unbeatable on that kind of flat terrain. Cavendish did well, as did Boasson Hagen |
