Maybe the Pro Tour wasn't so bad after all...At least the big teams with the big riders were guarenteed spots. Having smaller teams just because they're from the same country as the race won't make the race necessarily better or more popular. |

I actually think having small teams does make it better, they race more aggresively, making the race more interesting

expansion is usually good for any company...more profit and all.
It won't surprise me if it's true and if their ultimate goal is to "buy" all the major races
EDIT: don't get me wrong. what I'm saying is that it makes perfect sense from a business point of view

the unipublic is having hard time getting sponsors you know, with all the dopers that won. Heras, Vinokourov, Gonzales, Ullrich, Casero. the numbers of sponsors and viewers are going back... |

can you get me a link please? thanks I confirm it's true. But he moaned against the management of his team, not the Pro Tour system, he said he would be sent there because of his lack of results in the last part of the 2007 season.
He's also gotten an important program for the start of the European season, which will obviously prevent him from peaking during the Ardennes races, which are his usual objective during the first half of the season.
Time to find himself another team actually... |

yeah, I thought so.

not that he ever does anything there...

Yeah, they're like a family in that team. If you rock the boat you're out no matter how good you are.
Given the "philosophy" of the Bouyges team and athletes, it'll be interesting to see where he goes. Definitely another french team.

Sorry mate, read it in an article about TDU....it goes on to say after ''To their credit, the organisers have taken on the criticisms and promise a tougher race next year''
I'd pay to see next years route |
