Jakstar22 - Will do Smile

lordbenji33 - Glad you like that. I'm a fan of short stories, too!

Dippofix - EBH on his full potential, it seems. But Europcar isn't scared of him. We have Voeckler!

nacho63 - Hagen surprisingly strong start here Smile

baia - Thanks. I hope he can do great things here.

Day 3 and we're hoping for a win one of these days. There will be time for that later, but it's best to start early. We expect a first war today.

Thomas will have a fighting chance today. But the main goal is to keep Pierre at the front. We can't lose time on a day like this.

Tour de France - Stage 3

The stage saw enthusiastic attackers. Besides Vichot, we also had Cancellara in the break.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/IanButlerPCM2010/TDF302_zps15c82605.jpg

Team Sky kept the pace up for the whole day. That resulted in rips in the peloton. Unfortunately, Jimmy was the first to lose contact. A tough day was ahead of him.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/IanButlerPCM2010/TDF303_zps72ef888c.jpg

This stage was hard to control and the mountains weren't too steep or long. In other words, a lot of riders thought they had a chance to win today. It was attack after attack!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/IanButlerPCM2010/TDF304_zps3e3201cf.jpg

As expected, Thomas has a go, too. But he was on his own and saw the uselessness of this attack. He dropped back into the pack. Not today, Thomas.

We are behind. So it's up to us to gain back some time. Pierre onto the attack!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/IanButlerPCM2010/TDF306_zpsde5f393c.jpg

The good news is that he is on top of his form. He totally ripped the field apart and even riders like Contador had missed the cut.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/IanButlerPCM2010/TDF307_zps559c0f30.jpg

The front group would sprint for the victory of the day. A late attack, or a very early sprint, messed up the sprint-minded riders like Valverde.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/IanButlerPCM2010/TDF308_zpsc385de89.jpg

Pierre came so close, but in the end, Hesjedal was a bit quicker, or smarter. Damn!

Behind The Scenes - Stage 3

So, what happened today? We had some bad moments and some good moments.

Yohann was unable to show his mountain jersey, which is a shame. Also, Jimmy won't survive the Tour this way. He spend 80 kilometers alone, hanging out the back of the peloton.

Thomas looks recovered from his crash in the Dauphiné. We're sure he'll take a stage later on in this Tour. Pierre manages to slip into the top 10 and will only grow from here.

Things are looking up.

Great stage for Pierre Smile, but a pity that no one wanted to go with Thomas Frown

Shonak
Some great riding from the captain, shredding the peloton in such a way. That's the Europcar we came to know from le Tour and with such an attitude, the stage win is only a question of time.
