Indeed great stuff! I hope you don't mind that I've "stolen" this idea for a little feature in my own HQ Tried to keep it in a different way, though.
Looking forward to later today then

No worries. It's always nice to see your ideas "stolen" and then improved in some way

Niels Albert
Niels Albert's impact on our 2010 campaign was huge. With a great team behind him (Marcel Sieberg, Bobbie Traksel, Roy Sentjens, Koen de Kort and Bas Giling), Albert was probably the strongest rider in the cobbled races.
The northern classics weren't the only place where Albert showed his class though. His aggressive riding style allowed him to be part of many winning breakaways. In Giro del Capo he was in two winning breakaways, but only managed to bring home one stage win. He repeated the performance in Utah, while in Faso he had no opposition in the fight for the general classification.
Albert was also present in two of our Pro Tour adventures. In Gent Wevelgem he finished on a prestigious 8th place, while in Criterium International he was very close to grab the yellow jersey after a very good opening stage.
Teams overview
Joined from: | Free Agency | Left for: | Team IKEA - Bianchi | Current team: | Team Bpost - Vlaanderen |
Albert enjoyed his time in the CT so much that he decided to stay for at least another year. For 2011 he signed with Ikea and became Vanspeybrouck's lieutenant.
He is currently riding for Team Bpost, where he still is Vanspeybrouck's lieutenant and since last year he is again team - mates with Dominique Cornu.

Ah brilliant write-up. I'm glad to learn more about Albert. He has been just as good for us, taking the 2012 KBC De Panne Tour, the 2013 Criterium Hainlete and a couple of other stage wins in the last couple of seasons.
It seems that I pick up all of the riders you leave behind you

Looking back, I think I made a mistake letting Albert go. He's an excellent rider.

Kai Reus
With the announcement that Magenta All Stars will be disbanding before the 2010 transfer season, Kai Reus became one of the team's main targets. And with a project that seemed to favor time - trial specialists, Kai Reus didn't think twice when signing the contract.
Despite some very good performances, he would spend most of the season in Cornu's shadow. If it wasn't for the fact that Cornu was also in the team, Kai's season would have probably been even more impressive that it was.
Reus' best race of the season was probably in Missouri, where he managed to finish 2nd behind who other than Dominique Cornu. That was probably the team's best race as well, with Kristof Vandewalle also taking the 9th place in the GC.
Teams overview
Joined from: | Free Agency | Left for: | Auber 93 - Look | Current team: | Team Hornbach |
Kai Reus' move from Jack Wolfskin to Auber93 in the 2010 - 2011 off season was one of the major transfers on the market. The deal involved Ruben Plaza to switch sides from the French team to Jack Wolfskin. And that proved to be a great move for both sides in the upcoming years.

Sadly he had a pretty bad season in 2013. Highlighted by a crash in the Tour of the Czech Republic. I can only say he will come back for vengeance.

Well the competition was tougher this year than in 2010. With most of his rivals now promoted, maybe he'll be back in top
Also, after 2010 he started to ask for more money than before.

These little "Hall of Fame" snippets are just so awesome! Being a relatively new member of MG I'm not all clued-up about its history, but between you and tsmoha I can put together all these little pieces. It's really interesting to see how the game has developed over the years Hats off to guys like you who have been here for a long while and of course to SN for running the whole thing. It is actually a hell of a job - and without pay!

One of the reason I did was so that the new managers or recent managers to know what happened in the game before they joined. Good to see it wasn't in vain

Elijzen to Project?
Following the presentation of the Tour de France route for the 2014 season, all TTists eyes lit up. This year the start will be a TTT. Project manager alex was overheard murmuring about a first yellow jersey. Meanwhile Elijzen at Team Hornbach has expressed his wishes to ride in the PT for a last year, after winning the World TTT two years in a row with the Netherlands.
Neither team has commented yet, but things might be afoot.

Sources from Project 1t4i say that the main obstacle between Elijzen and the team is the fact the current Hornbach rider demands a rather large amount of money for his services.
But, in the end the move could happen if the Project 1t4i manager manages ( ) to work out the team budget well since a transfer see should also be going towards Hornbach since Elijzen is still their rider at the moment.

Laurens Ten Dam leaves the team
The only victim of the 2014 renewals was Laurens Ten Dam. The Dutch rider enjoyed some good moments with our team, but sadly his best days are now far behind him.
Laurens' history with the team is quite interesting as he joined the team as a Free Agent twice. First, it was in 2010, but almost immediately after signing the contract he was sold to Rabobank.
Next year, following Rabobank's disbandment, he signed another contract with Jack Wolfskin and this time it was for good.
He mostly rode for us as a helper but when given the chance he also stepped up as a team leader. His best memory with the team probably are the two days spent in the polka dot jersey at the Tour de France 2011.
Hopefully he'll be able to find a good contract in the Continental Tour and enjoy some racing before his retirement.
2014 wages made public
With the renewals phase over and with the transfers right around the corner, we think now is the perfect time to release the wages that our riders will receive during the upcoming season.
But, some of those wages won't be payed by us as some of the riders will bee looking to find a new team in the transfer window! The number of dots(●) in the list bellow shows how secure the rider's position in the team is (more dots means less likely to leave).
| Robert Gesink | € 800,000 | ●●●●● | | Luis Leon Sanchez Gil | € 450,000 | ●●● | | Peter Velits | € 350,000 | ●●●● | | Julien Simon | € 200,000 | ● | | Jelle Vanendert | € 150,000 | ●●●●● | | Ramon Sinkeldam | € 130,000 | ●●●●● | | Joost Posthuma | € 100,000 | ●●●●● | | Wesley Kreder | € 100,000 | ●●●●● | | Jon Aberasturi | € 80,000 | ●● | | Jonathan Castroviejo | € 75,000 | ●●●●● | | Koen De Kort | € 65,000 | ●●●● | | Benoît Vaugrenard | € 65,000 | ●● | | Johannes Frohlinger | € 60,000 | ● | | Rafel Majka | € 60,000 | ●●●●● | | Mohammad Saufi Mat Senan | € 60,000 | ●● | | Wout Poels | € 55,000 | ●●●● | | Paul Martens | € 50,000 | ●●●●● | | Bas Giling | € 50,000 | ●●●● | | Jos Van Emden | € 50,000 | ●●●●● | | Sébastien Rosseler | € 50,000 | ● | | Kristof Vandewalle | € 50,000 | ●●● | | Andrei Nechita | € 50,000 | ●●●●● | | George Alexandru Stancu | € 50,000 | ●●●●● |

Yes, I think I've made a mistake by offering him 200k. Still, better than what he was receiving last year.
But, I think he'll be a more better rider in the PCT/CT than he was in the PT, where he didn't get too many chances to go for himself.

Simply markets have nudged us in the direction of known breakaway artist vaugrenard. They are not that happy with the amount of French riders we have on the roster, they see a PT veteran as the sort of rider who is an easy fit.

Simply - Red Bull could be a destination for Benoit Vaugrenard, but there are some other options out there as well for the Tour de France stage winner.

Julien Simon will indeed be a good PCT rider. I was aiming for him, but on a 200K wage I simply can't find room for him this season. Sigh!

Now I'm regretting even more than I didn't negotiate that contract more since I really want 2 of your riders

Which ones? You have more riders that I would possibly be interested in
