Team Presentation Part 2: Free Elements
Sprinters:
Marco Guillén 27 years - 81sp, 82acc, 67fl 65.000€ 4.100 exp
Hill-hater Marco Guillén will be our definite leader on flat stages and in flat races. He won't however have a large schedule this year(only 43 race days) due to the team's large focus on climbing races.
Jose Luis Cano 26 years - 77sp, 74acc, 71fl, 70pr 50.000€ 4.100 exp
As with Mr.Guillén he will only do something on the flatter races and as you might guess, he is purely here to help-out Guillén in the mass sprint and will also follow Guillén in all his races.
Luxury domestiques:
César Rojas Villegas 26 years - 76mt, 64hi, 74acc, 71res 50.000€ 4.100 exp
César might not got a ton of opportunites to lead the team this season due to it's many strong riders, but will be a valuable mountain support wherever he goes. Unlike Guillén and Cano, César will use almost all of his race days(73 out of 76).
Marco Salas 32 years - 73mt, 70hi, 72res, 72rec 50.000€ 4.100 exp
Experienced Costa rican champ Marco Salas still has one year left at top level, even though he's a solid rider he will serve a domestique role for most of the time. Same role as César in other words.
Jesús Herrada 24 years - 69mt, 70tt, 68hi, 69pr 95.000€ 2.22 exp
Altough someone might would say we massively overpaid for this rider, I think we didn't make a bad deal. Quality is not cheap, and his nationality is a big pluss aswell. Jesús will definitly be in important part of our future team with great climbing and time-trialing abbilities combined.

Team Presentation Part 3: Talents
Our future buildbricks:
Richard Antonio Carapaz 21 years - 71mt, 66hi, 65tt, 65pr 150.000€ 1.00 exp
Our big talent this season. Will surely be our future leader and our man to build our team around. Not only that but he can already be a decent mountain domestique at this level. Future great.
Miguel Angel Benito 21years - 68mt, 65hi, 66tt, 66pr 50.000€ 1.00 exp
Might not be the talent Richard is but will still develop to become a great domestique. Miguel will have his preferences in the mountains and in the time-trials. A team can't only consist of leader so we are really happy with getting him for cheap.
Thomas Bonnin 25 years - 70mt, 65hi, 67acc, 78dh 55.000€ 2.68 exp
The last out of our own riders which is not loaned out or in this season. Like Miguel he is not the talent Richard is but will still be a superior mountain domestique. Not only that but he also got great downhill for a climber.
Loaned in for the season:
Max Walsleben 24 years - 63fl, 65co, 63sta, 65res 50.000€ 1.00 exp
One of our two loaned in riders this season. Max will not be capable of doing much and will most likely use most of his racedays to serve our leaders. He is actually one of the guys with most used racedays in the team aswell(83 of 85).
Maximillian Schachmann 24 years - 70hi, 73acc, 74dh, 69sta 50.000€ 3.14 exp
Our second loaned in rider this season. Maximillian is a decent puncheur with a great final kick. Although he will serve most of his time as a domestique for Nazar and Jaroslav in the hilly races. We hope he can pull of a few decent results on his own. Also he got a great spare of racedays used(70 out of 85).

Good to see that you managed to get a good talent, after you had to give up on Kudus. You put up a good fight and one more bid would have stopped me, but I guess you'd driven his price up enough already
Hopefully him and Carapaz can have good battles in future. |

Yeah, I really wanted Kudus, so sorry for price-dumping him so much. I however realized that it would be a bad idea to go any higher on him after my other targets were raising aswell. In the end Carapaz isn't quite the talent Kudus is but the best one I could get with still being promotion material afterall, so glad it worked out in the end for both Although I reckon you would have got Kudus a whole lot cheaper if it weren't for me unfortunatly.
Hoping for some great battles aswell

Season 2 Finished
With the final race of the season now done, is it about time we wrap up the season and start planning the next one.
This year certainly had it ups and downs, although it was most positive moments tbh.
Our top scorer this year was Arroyo as expected, although he didnt score as much as we would have thought, Guillen and Kulhavi's performances definatly made up for it.
3 guys in the top 10 is definatly a huge relief. Although we didn't have too much succes behind that, is it okay.
We alsom made 4/5 sponsor goals which will give us some important money to use in the upcoming transfer season. And we definatly need a replacement for the aging Arroyo.
Sponsor Goals for 2014 Season, 4/5 complete
Goal | Race/Objective | Category | Result | Top 5 | Tour d'Azerbaijan | C2HC | 3rd, Arroyo | Top 5 | Tour de Langkawi | C2HC | 3rd, Arroyo | Top 5 | Tour of Utah | C2HC | 3rd, Arroyo | Win | Clasico RCN | C2 | 4rd, Arroyo | Top 5 | Team Standings | CT | 3rd |

Talent Development
Our talentbase may not be the biggest, but we are definetly proud over the ones we have. Most of them are developing into strong mountain domestiques, while one of them is a future star. We also have a puncheur from our home country in Mudarra who is very valued from our sponsor.

Couple of nice guys you've got returning from being away on loan there; will definitely help off-set the loss of certain pensioners potentially cashing in their retirement cheques at the end of the season .
Was a good battle over the last couple of months for the top places in CT. Certainly envious of your major success on the goals front - might mean you end up with the highest budget to spend of all the promoting CT teams! (?)

@Scorchio Yeah the season went really well and the fact that I got 4/5 Goals is just awesome. I will try to loan out TJ slagter and Mudarra since I really don't think they will be more than luxury domestiques/maybe break-luckies and I don't wanna slow their development. I havent really decidet about Arroyo yet, but I hope Kulhavi and Guillen won't demand too much as thats two riders I really wanna keep for another year. Castano and Esquivel could really be decent domestiques for another year.
The division was really close in the top this year, with many factors playing in and it was really tight in top, in the end, your team proved to be a deserving winner
About next year, I'm hugely looking forward too facing you and the rest of promoters, I dont really feel I have someone worthy of being a PCT leader and I guess most other CT-promoted teams feels the same aswell. So expectations some huge fights over the FAs in the transfer period.

If Slagter won't race in your jersey next season anyway...you know a manager who'd pay some good money for him.

Definatly! It's just so hard to sell riders you've had from level 1 :/ Pluss the fact I always liked him in real life makes it difficult. I know for certain other people wants him aswell, so he won't go that easily.
But if I need the money for someone else, he might have to go
@Roturn, I agree.. But in the end of the day, cash is king

Season Highlights
Arroyo Taking the final stage in Vuelta a Burgos and wins the GC aswell
Kulhavi winning the final stage in Vuelta a Guetemala after long solo break-away and decides the GC aswell
Guillén takes his 3rd stage win in Tour de Langkawi and wins the point jersey in style!
Kulhavi and Arroyo makes it a 1-2 in Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid!
There were big results aswell, in a season full of podiums, but maybe not as many victories as you would have expected! For instance Arroyo had flust with podiums, mainly 3rd places, as he seemed to have a thing for those during the season! He finished 8 times on the podium this year(GC-Classic wise) with 5 of those being 3rd places.
So he delivering some solid points throughout the season while not having the really incredible season we all would've hoped for!
But the real suprise stars of the season were Guillén and Kulhavi. They weren't expected to do anything more than to maybe grabe couple of podiums and BOOM! They delivered bigtime with Guillén strongest performance being that suberp 10th place in Tour of Bulgaria, a C1 race including some tough stages including a mountain stage! He also had some couple of stage wins during the season. Guillén also podiumed in Tour d'Algerie after a break took the first 2 spots on the GC. Kulhavi also had a really, really strong season with his 2 victories top it off, 1 GC win and 1 classic win. He also managed to snag a couple of moer top 5 finishes aswell. Castano might be the one rider who we would have expected a bit more of, but with so many stars in one team, its for them all to deliver! He manages a podium in San Luis although it looked for long like he would be the winner! From the rest of the of the team we didnt get any big results, but that was to be expected. Although our lead-out sprinter Cano managed pull 1 victory after a bit to good lead-out for Guillén to handle in whatever race it was. And Schachman, our loaned in rider, managed to become national champ in Germany, after a smart break-away tactic.

Transfer Targets under contracts
Pello Bilbao | David Abal | | Florentino Marquez | Alejandro Valverde | Sergio Barrio | Ion Izagirre | Igor Anton | Beñat Intxausti | Andrei Amador | Gregory Brenes |
If we could bag one or two of these riders for the upcoming season, we would already call our transfer season a huge succes! All these riders would be leader material in our PCT-team which also is from our preferred nations.
We realise there other options on the FA which might be slightly stronger but most of them is probably going to get a tad pricey for our taste and we rather have a much more allround team than just one superstar and the rest just being mediocre domestiques.
