The Rider
Good looking race goals for team, great to see Sri Lanka being involved in the set up here. Wink

The Bonsucro team have declared interest in Manarelli, bringing him to a Brazilian team would be a good deal for all concerned.

Signings galore!

With the sale of many riders, replacements were needed. Using our large transfer budget - more than the PT salary cap - we managed to bring in 3 high quality leaders, plus the cap space freed up allowed us to sign a few more decent riders. There were however consequences, with Adrien Petit and Andrea Guardini heading to Bouygues and Rothaus respectively to max out, as well as the sale of Isaac Bolivar to Boeing-Bulgaria for 120,500. Here we go with the new signings:

Cyril Gautier

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2014/thumbs/Cyril-Gautier-2014.png

One of our main targets was signed from BPost for 1.4 million. While pricey, he will be one of the best puncheurs in the PCT and on only a 220k wage he represents a good deal. Plus he is the French NC, so will wear the jersey below.

Kai Reus

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2014/thumbs/Kai-Reus-2014.jpg

With Jerome Coppel becoming overpriced, we went after Reus instead. At 1.2 million and a 300k wage we reckon he could be an incredible asset for this season.

Kenny Elissonde

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2014/thumbs/Kenny-Elissonde-2014.png

The third of our transfers in. Kenny cost us 750k, but he has further development ahead of him and is still young enough to potentially one day finish on the podium of the Tour.

Heinrich Haussler

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2014/thumbs/Heinrich-Haussler-2014.png

Signed for 450k from the free agency, this Aussie-German sprinter will lead our sprinting corps. His ability over the Hills and Cobbles sets him apart from other fast men.

John Gadret

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2014/thumbs/John-Gadret-2014-(2).png

The aging Frenchman will be a key climber for us and will lead our talents in any C2 races. At 100k, it could be worse.

Alessandro Proni

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2013/thumbs/Alessandro-Proni-2013.jpg

Proni comes in for 75k wage. He'll be a key helper for Gautier in the hills, and he will get some chances on his own as well.

René Mandri

www.procyclingstats.com/riders/2012/thumbs/Rene-Mandri-2012.jpeg

Alongside Proni and also on 75k wage, Mandri strengthens our Hills department. He can also TT decently, so could come of use in many of Reus' races.

Michael Boroš

The young Czech cobbler joins on loan from Becherovka to gain experience. We hope he can surprise.

Very solid team, albeit without a real superstar, with some luck you might be able to promote.

I really wanted Elissonde, but couldn't push for him that much after most of my money went to Uran. I hope he serves you well!

Thanks! Promotion would be nice but staying PCT another year and adding some decent talents is the aim. As for Elissonde, I wasn't expecting to have to pay that much - but as he'll be a solid PCT stage race leader in a few seasons with a little training, he should be worth it. Smile

Destination Qatar

With budget remaining after transfers we looked at PT wildcards. With only a few races still having spaces available, we took the decision to go for the Tour of Qatar!. Both Reus and Haussler shall race, as shall our three Sri Lankan riders, while Mazur, Turgot, Goldstein and Carsi have all been mentioned as potentially riding as well. However, that all depends on any clashes with PCT races.

Nice to see calendar of certain mr. Reus, he should meet cartain mr.Ignatiev in no less than six races.

Looking forward to their battles, i see at least two races, where Kai should be more than able to beat Mikhail...
