Well, I only see one band I'm definitely not taking, so it'll be quite interesting to screen another one.
I assume we'll be informed later whether the picking system will be similar to how it used to be for HC races aka. assigning numbers from 1 to 6 to every band?
I mean I doubt we can be guaranteed to enter every band we're interested in?

My decision is quite simple (based on the fact that Africa has no cobblers):
Does the band have cobbles?
If yes;
---don't choose
Else;
---choose

2/4 really easy, the other 2 not so much. Time to buy me some climbers I guess

I don't know... You could go super heavy on one discipline (that isn't TT's or Cobbles) and just kill it. If you got a couple of guys into the Top10 in every stage of that type you could get loads of points.
But yes, smart money is on balance

So no Kenya Mountain Classic for Project Africa? |

I think he meant real cobblers. |

Doesn't seem like it unfortunately. Would've liked being at most African races. Plus, seeing as it's a mountain classic I'll be up against like a few 79+ MO riders. My transfer targets aren't that good

Did the calculations on the race days and types of race days I'll choose. Seems like I'll need a few good sprinters...
*stares at Hoffman and J van Heerden on shortlist*
...and some stage racers...
*cough* Augustynghfhfhgf *cough*
...and maybe even a TTer
*tries to remember whether it's spelt "Reinardt" or "Reinhardt"

Sounds great on paper but two 78+ punchuers/climbers could set you back 900k plus on your budget. |

Liking the calendar!
Band 6 is awesome; definite first pick.
Will try to avoid 5 and 3 I think.

SN,
I see one possible error. In Band 1 - Post Danmark Rundt in the summary lists 5 stages and that make the band total 20 as expected, but when you look at PRD it has 6 stages.

That sucks. Two one day races is all we get from Italy, and both of them of a type I have no interest in investing this season.
Might have to replan somewhat, or just ignore the races in our home country completly. |

Well this is 100 of your race days, and i imagine another 50-60 are free choice from a selection. Wouldn't lose faith just yet
(it's nice knowing one none HC race though )

Yeah, but they're your leaders if you aren't spending that much on them then you won't do very well.
