We have same win goal, surprise.
Question is, will your new transfer beat Popovych?
In the end, somebody will find the way to beat us both anyway.

That would be me
Seriously, though - much of the pre-season information posted in Metinvest and Privatbank's HQs makes me think the three of us will come across one another a fair amount of times - both during transfers and the actual season!

Nice goals. We're also looking to build quite a sprint train. I'm sure we'll meet a few time this season

Please note that we learned from last season talking is a good way to avoid overpaying for certain riders both teams want. Therefor we, Privatbank - Nemiroff Professional Cycling Team, offer Kazzinc and Metinvest the oppurtunity to contact us during the transfer season to stop the inflation of the wages.
As for the races: May the best team win!

I like the sound of that, and would like to wish you the best of luck too.
Lets make this a season dominated by eastern Europe (and western Asia, now that I've remembered that Kazakhstan isn't part of Europe )!

Metinvest management is always ready to talk, rather than fight with similar focused managers, even more when it is two managers that are seen as very friendly thanks to past negotiations and contact.
Our improving focus on Italy can be a partial answer to all that clashes of interest, but still there are riders from eastern Europe, that are seen as must have from Metinvest point of view.

News about the 'Maksimov-Fire'
Spoiler
This horrible fire took place earlier today in Russia. Actually it's Maksimov's house. He bought it when he made the move to Privatbank. As Roman is racing in France no one got injured. Estimated costs are over half a million euros.
Local authorities state they do not know anything, but rumours say Oleksandr Dubilet, CEO of Privatbank, has given 'some people' the misson to punish Roman for his bad performances this season.
Both Maksimov and the team refuse to answer any questions at this moment.
If Dubilet really has something to do with this the team's future could be uncertain. More news is expected by Monday.
With the transfers getting closer and closer, and Maksimov still being linked to Privatbank, the team's decided to bring out some more news, which has been kept from the public for quite a while.
Earlier it was reported there was no evidence to be found, however to ensure the team's future, Ukrainian policemen have secured some 'suspicious parts of clothing' in secret. These parts appear to be part of a black suit, something Maksimov didn't own at that point of time. Maksimov would never buy a suit, as he says it doesn't feel right wearing one.
After experiments in the lab it turns out this suit was of a high quality, something a person like Dubilet would have in his closet, making it more and more likely he's the cause of this. Further investigation still has to prove this tho. As long as this investigation runs Dubilet isn't allowed to have any contact with the team's staff or riders.
Because Dubilet was already the prime suspect, Privatbank had announced to quit sponsoring after 2014. Current co-sponsor Nemiroff already said it could be interested to become to new main sponsor, along with another sponsor, probably from Cyprus for the 2016 season.
Maksimov is said to be angry at how this situation has been tackled by both the team and local authorities, which could result in him not wanting to sign with Privatbank anymore. The team understands this, but hopes Maksimov might still consider a permanent move to Ukraine. Living in Russia wouldn't be an option anymore tho, as Lviv is located quite a bit from the Russian border, however Lviv is the cycling capitol of Ukraine, offering riders the perfect environment to train and improve their abilities.
It's expected that CSC-Orbea will release an article with their, and Roman's thoughts soon, which could very well shed more light on the team he'll be riding for in 2014.

First name | Last name | 2014 Wage | Transferlisted | Ricardo | Mestre | € 75.000 | Yes | Artem | Topchanyuk | € 75.000 | No | Filipe | Cardoso | € 65.000 | Maybe | Eduard | Vorganov | € 65.000 | Maybe | Cesar Andre | Fonte | € 60.000 | Maybe | Mykhaylo | Kononenko | € 60.000 | No | Bruno | Lima | € 60.000 | No | Oleksandr | Polivoda | € 60.000 | No | Oleksandr | Prevar | € 58.500 | Loan to PT | Arturs | Ansons | € 50.000 | No | Marios | Athanasiades | € 50.000 | No | Vitaliy | Buts | € 50.000 | No | Oleksandr | Golovash | € 50.000 | No | Volodymyr | Gomenyuk | € 50.000 | No | David | Chokheli | € - | Released | Marco Alexandre Ferreira | Cunha | € - | Released |
So as you can see both Cunha and Chokheli were released from the team, we didn't even bother to offer them a new contract and we wish them the best of luck in finding a new team.
Prevar will most likely be loaned out to a PT team, rumours even say he may be a part of the offer the team might be willing to make on Ratiy.
Mestre will be sold if a CT team decides they need a leader, as he might be a good domestique for us we won't just take any offer, it has to be reasonable.
Vorganov and Fonte will need a very good offer in order to sell them.
Cardoso is still very uncertain, he might be involved in a deal like Prevar could be.
Athanasiades, Ansons, Lima and all Ukrainians will stay no matter what happens, we won't even consider offers on them. Only Golovash MIGHT be loaned out to a team needing a decent TT rider.

Team Festina is very keen on taking on Prevar on a loandeal this season, as he would match the teams young punchy riders policy quite well.

The team's made their first three signings of this season. We can say we're very pleased to welcome Vladimir Efimkin at our team. Together with Topchanyuk he should give us some points in mountainstages, something we don't really focus on. Another Russian who joined is Sergey Nikolaev, this sprinter can get over hills really well and will be part of the team which goes to C2 races. He'll also help our sprint leaders in bigger races. The third and final rider who has been confirmed to join is the Estonian puncheur Martin Puusepp. We paid 100.000 to transfer him from La Vie Claire. He'll also target the C2 races we have on our calendar.
Sadly we also had to sell some of our riders. Ricardo Mestre will join Simply Red Bull, where he should be a great mountain domestique. Moving with him is Oleksandr Prevar. He's only going there on a loan and it should be fun to watch him help their leaders whilst gaining experience. Cesar Andre Fonte will join Grupo Nutresa, who are having a fun transfer season so far. It's really sad to see a former leader go, but it gives us room to secure bigger names.

After a day full of things gone wrong we also have some positive news, as the team has two new members. First is Maciej Ulanowski, a sprinter from Poland, who is quite similar to Maksimov we had last year. We don't expect him to get great results, but some points would be nice. A second deal, which hasn't been officially closed yet, but is certain to happen is Alex Wohler who will join the team on a loan deal from the Oz. He is here to gain experience and hopefully he'll be active in breakaways throughout the season.

Since the last update we gave you, 3 more cyclists have joined us in Lviv. Kobe Vanoverschelde is our most expensive transfer ever. He's an excellent sprinter and will try to win a few races for us this season. Tomas Vaitkus, who is another signing will be the key to winning sprints. He'll probably be one of the best lead-out men in the division and we are thrilled to welcome him. We already guaranteed him he'll ride in his favourite Baltic Chain Tour. Last but not least Andris 'Smirnoff' Smirnovs will be on loan from Metinvest. He's here to gain experience and we hope the team, and Ansons in particular can help him develop nicely this season.

I hope your team will not fail by not making leadout trains. You might have the strongest trains, but your main sprinters might just be the 4th, 5th strongest. |

If that happens I probably end up with all my riders in the top 20 like many races last year xD

Yes, you get that right, The Gorilla, aslso know as André Greipel has just joined our team. He'll have the highest salary of all our riders, and this'll be his last season at this high of a level. Despite of that we're very proud to have signed him, as he's an excellent sprinter. He's the one who's going to try and achieve three of our sponsorgoals, being the Down Under Classic, Interlagos GP and Race Horizon Park. And even with a strong sprintersfield in this year's PCT we're pretty confident he's capable of reaching our goals in those races.
André, Welcome!

After our update on signing Greipel, 3 more guys found a way to Lviv. Most noticable is Slovenian Robert Vrecer. The 34 year old climber will be a helper for Efimkin and Topchanyuk, and can try something himself in C2 races. Another mountaindomestique is Muradjan Khalmuratov. Not the youngest either, but he sure is a nice addition to our team, and will focus on mianly the same races as Vrecer. We can't have a future with only 30+ riders, and therefore we signed Kyriakos Skettos, Cyprus' most talented rider by far. We believe he can become just as fast as Polivoda and he'll become a part of our sprintingteam in a few years.
We now expect just a few more riders before our squad is complete.

With the last signings today we can announce our transfer season is over!
Today three more riders joined us, including The Hottest Thing On Wheels, Shaquille Sinclair. Shaq is Jamaica's most promising rider ( ) and he should become as fast as another of our signings: Igor Abakoumov. Igor rides with a Belgian license, but he was born in Ukraine. He'll help Kobe adapt the Ukrainian way of life. The only rider left unnamed is Polychronis Tzortzakis, a promising Greek sprinter/time trialist. We're still actively looking to loan him out to a ProTour team, but if we don't succeed in doing so he'll be an excellent addition to our team.
And yes, I have Kobe and Shaq now!
